Oh and Arthur… this guy should be playing at Sassuolo or Fiorentina type clubs. He sucks. He has benefited so much from his original sell from grêmio. He never took the next step in his development and will continue to be in big clubs Because he’s Brazilian and was bought by Barca.
Allegri called our Wes' improvement in the last game during the press conference today. Clearly he doesn't read the tabloids.

Bad loss. 1-2 at home. There goes the preferable scheduling advantage Juve had over next few games... They need to put together now another string of consecutive wins to get back solidly in top 4. Happy for Wes and the goal. I'd assume he will come out of this 'stinking' less than other players. Sure seems like he is firmly in Allegri's plans now, as long as he can keep performing like last few games. Lots of 'names' for Juve on offense, but still underwhelming production.
Thought Wes was about the best player on the field for Juve. Team looks inexplicably toothless in attack given the names on the jerseys (esp Chiesa), though Dybala looking much more dangerous today.
Lol, I walked away after Juve turned it over deep in Saussolo half with :30 left in injury time. Cannot believe Sauce scored in that window, Juve were tired and a bit sloppy toward the end, but also all over them. They were pushing for the second, just didn't defend the absolute last attack of the game. Dybala looked great, agreed.
The Juve fans on Twitter are killing Weston, even with the goal. They have turned on him completely. I hope he leaves after this season
I read their message board all the time - they hate everyone - very emotional fan base. https://www.vecchiasignora.com/forum/2-juventus-forum/
too bad for them, he's been low key a world class 8 the last few matches and you can damn sure bet his manager knows it
Just watched the replay again. If Wes would have had that last guy covered it probably would not have mattered. Another Sauc player was wide open crashing to the box. So, the goal scorer would have likely just made a simple lateral pass to another wide open player in that case. Wes was left holding the bag in this one, unfortunately. Not much short of superhuman defending that he could have done
I wasn't able to see the game, but why was he the last man back? Where were the center backs? Brutal way to lose a game
Watched that compilation video above - McKennie looked great imo. Man, he really excels at those long throws now. The final goal makes him look bad, but only because he was the only one back and in view. That crappy defending is on the whole team, not one player.
The fans at big clubs (esp big clubs who are a shadow of their former selves) are going to be volatile. Whatever. But Allegir keeps starting Wes for a reason, and in the last 3 games I've noticed a real improvement to his play. As said last week, he finally looks more like himself. Not the god-mode he was in a year ago, but the lung-busting, goal-dangerous Wes we all know and love. Just happy he finally seems "back" and the Juventini can kiss my ass.
They were pushed way up into Sassuolo's half for a final attack. De Ligt was actually next to the man who hit the pass over Wes, right by the sideline (right in front of Allegri, actually), but didn't do anything to stop it. Wes probably shouldn't have dropped so deep before the pass. If he had stayed just behind the halfway line, Lopez couldn't have stayed onside.
Saw Wes' highlights and this is the sharpest I've seen him in a long, long time. This was like his peak last year. I am sure Allegri sees now what he has and he is pleased with Weston. Last play can have some debate but a knowledgeable soccer observer (which I consider Allegri in spades) would see how effective Wes' skillset was the entire game, and how much he is needed this Juve side. He covers ground that others don't. Speaking of which, edit: Bonucci or De Ligt looked REALLY very slow closing down that first goal. As did the other 2 Juve defenders around the ball. Juve have speed and age problems that tactics and positioning just can't solve. This plays well into Wes' heavy running and dynamic style. They need a player like him in the middle. I think Allegri has known this for a while. Not to mention the 'vaunted' front players did not score (while Wes did) But Wes had some great touches and passes at speed...really nice to watch. Despite what the fans are saying, I think Wes only rose in estimation of Allegri. And what a great final ball by the Sassulo player...fantastically measured If Wes keep playing with this mojo and precision passing, he'll be in great shape. this ratings companies are so lazy. 90 minutes said "he was sloppy in possession" WTF?
