Well deserved. Kind of surprised CR7 didn't make it despite the brace. Must have been stiff competition at forward this week.
Get ready for more Weston content. OFFICIAL: Juventus will be the next club to get the All or Nothing treatment on Amazon Prime..Can't wait for this! 😍😍😍 pic.twitter.com/LFM3nZnKwj— Footy Accumulators (@FootyAccums) February 23, 2021
I think a lot of people would be surprised at the tone and intensity of a lot of verbal communication on the field. This isn’t even about the magnitude of a club the size of Juventus. You will see and hear intense communication at every pro level. Television just isn’t usually in a position to capture it.
20 seconds that's our guy right, collapsing into what I'd imagine is his new bed in italy after the tranfer?
I watch a LOT of soccer. That sort of reaction on your own team's goal is un-friggin-common. I didn't draw any drastic conclusions (or any of any sort), so... you're soft?
With Wes, I just know he'll be one of the guys who will step up in a World Cup. His inner fire and warrior mentality will help take us far.
He is the next generation of American player that has the drive, the engine and the skill. Go on young man, make us all proud.
And hopefully the ability to eat injuries for breakfast. FYI, I read he has a hip injury (not sure that was mentioned in the thread yet).
Yea it's been nagging him. You can see him bothered by it when he tries to go laterally, especially in defending. That said, he's Weston, if he can, he's gonna play. You only wish all players had his durability and willingness to play less than 100% when the injury isn't in danger of worsening.
How do we know the injury isn't in danger of worsening? Aside from bruising, I'm not sure what injuries are merely painful and not indicative of real damage that needs proper healing.
That's a good question. I'm guessing (well taking an informed guess) that since Juve seem to be a world class org (I do think that, everything about them seems first class to me) they have a great medical team that has concluded whatever he has isn't in danger of worsening from use. So probably some sort of low grade strain that is mostly just pain management at this point. Maybe a groin strain or hip strain that is just inflamed and won't fully get better until the offseason. A few weeks ago he got an MRI (I posted the video of him walking into the medical / training facility) and the scan didn't show anything serious, thankfully.
I think it's actually a deep bruise. He appeared to have picked it up on a bad fall after a tackle a couple of weeks ago. I don't think it's a strain or joint injury or they would likely be resting him. A bruise, though painful and potentially limiting his range of motion, wouldn't be aggravated by playing on it. Anyway he appears to be mostly recovered at this point judging by the extra energy he looked to have last game. Hopefully that's all it is and he'll be 100% soon.
Yea, I'm pretty much prima facie on injuries, a guy like wes, who is a tank, playing through an injury and looking pretty good, well, more power to him. he's proven it throughout his career so far. he can do it. one of his qualities no doubt. I love this guy.
Looks like Tuttosport says Juventus has decided to take up Wes’ option: https://www.tuttosport.com/news/cal...9486305/la_juve_ha_deciso_mckennie_riscattato
I’d hope so... he’s by far their best midfielder. they desperately need locatelli and offload rabiot and Ramsey and potentially benta and bring in a more dynamic option.
