I was bummed that Southhampton didn't win on the road against Boro. They went up 2-0 on a brace from Beattie but let them tie things up. Could be worse. I can't beleive they've only lost 5 matches this year. They have home games left against Liverpool, ManU, WBA, Villa, West Ham, Leeds, & Bolton. Their away games are against Sunderland, Blackburn, Everton, Fulham, Arsenal, Birmingham, Charlton and ManCity. So 9 more away games and 8 at home. Other than against Arse, their road games are too bad. Everton and Blackburn will likely be the next 2 toughest ones. And by the time they finish the season with Man City everything could be decided. Although if they're still competing for a spot in Europe it probably will matter. You have to think they can beat Liverpool at home w/ both Liverpools form, Southampton's form and that they beat Arsenal at home not too long ago. WBA, West Ham, and Bolton are all in the relegation zone. And while they'll be fighting for points to survive, you have to think they'll take 9 out of 9 points from those. Throw in a few wins and ties from the other home games and they'll do well this year. And if they get a couple wins on the road against Sunderland, Fulham, the Blues, and Charlton or ManCity, you have to like thier chances of playing in the Uefa cup next season. Ya, the Saints in Europe! When has that last happened? The late 70s?
