Southern Supporters Group??

i understand that...but there's no reason why there has to be only one fan group either.

however, i'm still a fan of the southern phoenix but whatever...league of southern gentlemen isn't bad. or just "the league of southerners" (LoS) and a hispanic variation of "diablos" combining to make LoS Diablos

"League of Southerners" and "League of Southern Gentlemen" are both fine for what they are...but they're also both uncomfortably close to "League of the South."

For those unfamiliar with the League of the South, it's a neo-Confederat secessionist organization dedicated to protecting the South's "Anglo-Celtic culture".

Just one more mine in the minefield...

 

I haven't even heard of them, but how about League of Soccer Gentlemen then?

I'm all for some kind of Southern soccer group.

As a North Carolinian and Southerner, we need a way to join together in order to get a professional team down here. Would I love a team in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh,NC? ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY! But the fact is, I would support any Southern team no matter what city.

One thing we need to keep in mind is being careful about choosing names and what not, because unfortunately racism can still be found in the South (which sucks). We should still use non-hate, Southern historical foundations in the designs, logos, and what not for the group.

Man, got me excited.... Even though we don't exist yet.

I say we have everyone submit logo ideas, names, and other ideas for this group.

My idea for design (note that the grey background and watermark are not part of the crest).

 

That's pretty good, but has too many colors. Not sure which to go with but no red/black - its all over the league already. Blue/Silver/Black?

 

I love red and black, but I know where you are coming from.

Here is one with grey/blue/black/ and gold. I would take the gold out, but then there would be way too much grey. And also for some reason, the gold is coming out as a weird neon yellow in this thread. It looks good in Illustrator, but not here.

 

That looks pretty good. Can we dump the gold for silver?

 

I'm on another BOSS thread, and so far this is what I got. I'm playing with another one, but not sure what to replace the gold with.

 

Something maybe like this? Since there are no "Official" colors yet, I had to improvise on all of them. I went for a lighter blue for the "States". I might go and make them the blue )like the banner) while having it outlined with blue.

That one is awesome! but the image of the southeast states seems just odd to me, how would it look without that?
