Please disregard the link it does not work.
There are many questions that need to be answered.

1/ Is Steve Tilson loosing it.
    2/ Will Freddy return.
3/ When will we start winning again.
    4/ Will we win promotion.
5/ Will we make the playoffs.

These are but a few of many questions hanging over our beloved shrimpers.
I would love to here from any die hard Southend fan, please feel free to express your views:cool:

NOT A GOOD START TO THE NEW YEAR FOR THE BLUES.
Going down 1-0 to Bristol Rovers is not good news for Steve Tilson, especially on new years day. So far we have managed to win 3 games "yes" 3 games out of our last 8 games. What is it going to take to start winning again.
Your suggestions would be a great topic of debate.

    STEVE TILSON ADMITS FRUSTRATION.

    NEXT UP.
Daggers FA CUP 3rd Round, let's hope we can cheer ourselves up by going through to the next round.

Blues boss Steve Tilson has been quoted as saying that striker Leon Clark is unlikely to be coming back to the club. Although the striker bagged 8 goals out of 16 games, Sheffield Wednesday have raised the transfer fee way to high and their is also a question mark over his attitude, apparently his commitment at Doncaster wasn't right.
Can we turn the team round without him? tell us what you think......

The draw for the next round of the F.A.CUP took place today (01/07/08).
Southend United was drawn against Barnsley FC who play their football (soccer) a division above us.
This game will be played on Saturday January the 26th.
This will be a tough game, but hey look what we did to Manchester United of the Premiership last season.

Who will face Barnsley up front for Southend it's a tough decision for Tilson to make.

If you had to make the choice who would you pick?

The 20yr old completed a £200,000 2 and half year contract deal

Sadly i've just seen the bad news about our supposed new signing.
Although this deal has now fallen through, i would like to wish James Walker the best for the future.
As soon as i know more i will keep you informed.

Oh by the way well done to the under 18s for going through to the 5th round of the F.A. Youth cup by beating Stoke City 3-1.
Striker Rhys Henry grabbed 2 goals the second came off Danzelle Hamiltons backside and into the net from 20yds (i bet that was funny to watch).
Rhys Henry is quickly becoming a player to watch for the future scoring 15 goals out of his last 11 outings.

Next up Bournemouth away (senior side).
    Tomorrow 01/19/08.

Many congratulations to the Blues for their great performance against a struggling Bournmouth FC beating them 4-1.
A clean sheet would have been nice but for Lewis Hunt's own goal "the twat".

No, Southend won't make the playoffs. Absolutely ripped apart at the Liberty last month and on that showing you were no better than Northampton, Cheltenham or Bournemouth.

Thanks for your post although negative, yeah your right we did get ripped apart but on the plus side we've just done the same to Bournemouth with only one recognized striker in Gary Hooper, obviously our chances are hanging by a thread, if we can turn Hartlepool over tonight then it will be game on.

Southend defender Lewis Hunt is to serve a one match ban after collecting five yellow cards this season.

The defender picked up his fifth yellow against Hartlepool on Saturday 01/23/08.

Lewis Hunt will serve the one match ban against Leeds United on Tuesday 01/29/08.

Bans for accumulating five yellow cards come into play after seven days.

Didn't mean to sound harsh in my post mate, just saying that on that one performance that you didn't look to be on of the better teams in the division. I have no idea how you've played other than that game so you might be world beaters ;)

    Hey no offense taken.
But sometimes it's hard being a southend supporter when things don't go your way, losing against Barnsley in the FACUP 1-0 didn't help.

We can now concentrate on the league, we need to win tonight 01/29/08 against Leeds United then beat Leyton Orient away on Sat 02/02/08 to stand any real chance of making the playoffs.
    FINGERS CROSSED......:D

    We're currently 8th, 7 points off a playoff birth.

With Gary Hooper going out on lone to Hereford United, it looks likely that Charlie Macdonald will start up front with new striker Lee Barnard.

Charlie has recently been past fit and is ready to play in tonights fixture
    coming back injury.

Pointing the way Lee Barnard celebrates his debut
goal in his first full match start for Southend United.

Lee Barnard was full of smiles after bagging his first goal in last night's 1-0
    victory over Leeds United.

Manager Steve Tilson said "it was a fantastic result and we've just beaten one of the best teams in the league. Every single one of the lads was spot on."

Personal note: I am very proud of what the lads achieved last night, lets hope we can continue to celebrate after the Leyton Orient game on Saturday 02/02/08

It was confirmed today 01/30/08 that Alex Revell has signed from Brighton and Hove Albion for £150,000.

This is more great news for Southend fans as we are desperate for more fire power up front to help Lee Barnard and the team to reach the play offs.
