Southampton denied a clear penalty from Allen's bad tackle.

That's not a penalty - in spite of what the Southampton supporters announcing on NBCSN keep saying.

Kevin Friend just blew a call. Should definitely have been a penalty that time against Allen. What the hell is going on.

I certainly would have wanted it though if it had been Sterling going down.

It was a bumbling challenge by Allen but they got tangled up - for me neither one was a penalty.

Sure if it's your guy you're not going to argue but there really wasn't enough contact on the first challenge by Can. Put it this way, it would have been a soft penalty.

    2nd shouldhave been a penalty.
Blame for the situation goes to Skrtel - left his central position to challenge for a header that he ultimately lost and allowed djuricic free reign through the middle.

The 2nd one on Allen should have been a penalty. Lost in all the chaos was that Mingolet made a great save.

That challenge by Wanyama that was unpunished was the exact same challenge Hendo made at midfield minutes earlier that was penalized.

Soton's intensity has dopped slightly and we are finding of pockets of space and looking good.

And Wanyama pushes Sterling in the back as he gets away and loses control with no whistle.

Elia repeating the story of his career - fantastic athlete, little football intelligence.

And Can with a fantastic challenge on Clyne. I am a big fan of Clyne would be a perfect replacement for Glenn.

Be patient. Let them keep pushing. Will give us some lanes.

Sterling looks rusty. Continuo playing great.

    Rain sucks.

A great spell of pressing and harrying by us. Earn a free kick after W-P bundles over Lallana.

    Certain penalty for Sterlin denied.
    This ref is useless.

Opposite angle makes the challenge seem better...mirrored what the ref saw and he did get more of the ball than I first thought.

    This ref doesn't give pens.

Reckless challenge on Sterling. If the challenge by Allen was a pen, that was a penalty as well.

Sterling denied a clear pen too. Id say his and the one Allen shoulda conceded were clear, but the one 30 seconds in is still 50/50.
