South China of Hong Kong grabbed a 1 goal lead after the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against Home United of Singapore played at Hong Kong Stadium.

Brazilian International Christiano Cordeiro opened the scorebook with a header off a corber for South China in the 12th minute. Chan Ho Men got a loose ball and put it home in the 33rd minute to give the hosts a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Home United got a precious away goal in the 47th minute when Brazilian-born Egmar Goncalves put away a flicked ball to give us the final score of 2-1.

The two teams will play the return leg in Singapore.
