National Olympic team boss Ephraim Mashaba has been named as the new coach of South Africa. He will be assisted by April Phumo, who has been in charge of several South African Premier League clubs. Mashaba, who replaces Jomo Sono, coached the national youth team to second place behind Morocco at the 1997 African championships.
