Especially if what he says about last using it in school 10 years ago.. Sheesh. Throw me into a Spanish speaking country and I'd be hosed.

Awesome awesome awesome. So excited to see him in action for Seattle.

And lol at the third question asked to him. What an oddly worded question. I half expected Tiffert to respond with "da fuk you just ask me?"

Transfermarkt justed posted the fee as 500,000 euros. That seems a little low.

I don't know about that. Our GM said the transfer fee was nominal and when pressed further, he said it was less than millions.

    RE: His grasp of English:

Let's face it, European education systems put a value on mastering multiple languages. We consider it un-American to speak two let alone three like a footballer.

Reason #49681 that it would be nice to be out from under the thumb of American cultural influences.

    Thanks. :)

Ummm.. Most Americans can barely speak one language.. Why burden them with 2? :)

I hope work visa will be done soon and CT can play against San Jose. Win against Earthquakes can show that with CT playing in midfield Sounders will be force in playoffs.

Why not start him?! I think he is ready to play and want to prove himself. Look at Tim Cahill tonight!

Different situations. With Dax McCarty and Marquez injured, the Red bulls don't really have much choice but to put Cahill out there. The Sounders don't have that problem.

Its his match fitness. He is only pre-season match fit. We don't know where he is full 90 fitness.

Coming from BundesLiga I bet he is more fit than Evans, Caskey or Rose at this moment and he is going to learn Sounders system more in next 8 days. If not for visa problems I will start him against LA and I don't know if he can play in USOC final. To beat San Jose CT and Rosales need to be playing together in our attack.

He only paid 20mins or so in pre-season games to keep him healthy. I don't want to Seattle waste a sub and have to sub him out early if he is not ready to go 60mins+. If he has his visa he can. He is not cap tied for US open cup. I do not think Seattle would make the Open Cup final his debut since the game is on GolTV and majority of the fans don't get that channel and miss out watching him but that's just my opinion.
