Killer song. Reminds me of my sophomore year in high school. I sorta liked Say Hello to Heaven more off that album, but not by much....

"Honey Don't Think" is simply a perfect ballad. If you like it, and you have access to a "file sharing" program, I suggest that you "file share" the live version that's floating around out there. It is, dare I say, even more longing and sorrowful than the version on Mighty Joe Moon.

I'll also add to this list:

The Littlest Birds -- Be Good Tanyas

What would a great songs thread be without the Jesus & Mary Chain?

    - Just Like Honey
    - Darklands
    - April Skies
    - Happy When It Rains
    - Reverence
    - Blues from a gun
    - Head on

LOL. Yes, it is, but I still like to listen to each song back-to-back.

I wish I had file sharing, but I don't have the capabilities.
You know that rule, "never put two songs in a row by the same artist on a mix tape"? Well Honey Don't think and Happiness being right after eachother on Mighty Joe Moon made it impossible for me to do that. I've put those songs together on mix tapes numerous times. Too bad I couldn't really get into any GLB post mighty joe moon, but that album just through and through is fantastic.

It took me awhile to get into "Copperopolis", but I do like that album.

"Mighty Joe Moon" is just fantastic--if I added to this list from that album, it would be "Rock of Ages"; from "Copperopolis", "Arousing Thunder".

"Fuzzy" is just as good as "Mighty Joe Moon." It predates MJM, and is a bit more "raw," but it has more spontenaeity. Fuzzy, Jupiter and Teardrop, Stars n Stripes, and Dixie Drugstore are classic GLB songs. Also, anybody that likes GLB needs to check out Mobilize, Grant's second solo album. Every bit as good as anything by GLB.

Other Grant Lee Buffalo/Phillips songs I will NEVER tire of:

    Sadness Soot
    Beautiful Dreamers
    America
    Mockingbirds
    Arousing Thunder
    Demon Called Deception
    APB
