I'm sure this has been answered many times, but when will Song start playing for Feyenoord?

I wish KFA or whoever is in charge of shi+ like this would stop shackling our best players to the national team. Asian Games is hardly a premier tournament - it's not even the Olympics for crying out loud. I don't like how Seol Ki-hyeon and Song Jong-guk were even considered to play for the U-23's, considering their delicate club positions.

Put some K-League all-stars in there. Frankly, I don't even think we need any overage players to take down these other Asian teams.

It looks like Brett Emerton is getting lovecalls from Newcastle. Perhaps this is Song's chance??? In that case, he should concentrate on his club career.

not so soon. But he definately is good enough to start once he fits into the team and his physical status is back on track.

So you think Song will be on the bench if Emerton stays? I don't think anyone can convince me Emerton is better than Song.

I think it's disgraceful that it takes him this long to get a permit.

Does anyone know where the problem lies? Is the Dutch embassy sleeping (I believe August 31 is the deadline, otherwise Song had to wait till Decembre...), or does he still need some official Korean documents?

I dont think trasnfer dealine has anything to do with Song anymore. (Im not sure on this)
he passed medical exam and other stuffs while he visited Netherland.
He's just waiting for work permit, and its delaying since dutch immigration department's duties were increased recently.
some estimated he can leave next weekends.
