This is incorrect. I've talked to several of the La Turbina Members and everyone of them have said that it is "Yo soy la voz, la voz de Columbus" This translates into "I am the voice, the voice of Columbus" Now, the confusing part is that the Spanish pronunciation of voz sounds like "voy" would in English.
To FURTHER confuse things, when my friend from Barcelona came to a few games and heard the "Yo se la" chant, he said it made NO sense whatsoever. He was intrigued and accosted some Mexicans in the parking lot after the game and asked for clarification (since I was worthless to him on this point). They further clarified that it is Yo Se La Voy and not Voz. So, basically, i have no idea and just sorta mumble it
Yo se la voy just doesn't make any sense grammatically. Voy is a verb and "la" is used to give a noun a feminine English equivalent of "the". Just try typing "Yo soy la voz" into the ever reliable Google translator and it will make sense. Now take this all with a grain of salt because I have only made it into Spanish 3 and I would be lost in a Spanish speaking country. I have talked to some of the Yellow Turbine and they said that the chant translates into "I am the voice"
Isn't this one just Dale, dale, dale, dale-o? And after repeating it two or three times it becomes a chant: Dale, dale, dale Crew dale Dale, dale, dale Crew dale and then back into the other part of the song. Sorry about shitting on your parade Clem.
Drew, I talked to them, and I was told that it meant "If I go, I go for Columbus" "yo si la voy, la voy a columbus" = "I go if it go, it to Columbus" which is pretty much exactly what they said. That being said, I told them that I thought it was "i am the voice", so maybe they changed it to mean that.
And let us not forget the Nordecke's newest smash hit: We Love You We love you! We love you! We love you! And were you go we'll follow! We'll follow! We'll follow! 'Cuz we support Columbus! Columbus Columbus! And that the way we like it! We like it! We like it! Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh(repeat "oh" cycle twice)
love coulumbus chant If you love coulumbus crowd cheers if you love coulumbus coulumbus yell yea then crowd cheers yea
Here's hoping we do indeed have a chance to try itout, but I randomly came up with this at Six Flags St. Louis: To the tune of For He's a Jolly Good Fellow. The Crew are going to the playoffs The Crew are going to the playoffs The Crew are going to the playoffs... Which nobody can deny Which nobody can deny Which nobody can deny The Crew are going to the playoffs The Crew are going to the playoffs The Crew are going to the playoffs... Which nobody can deny
Another one that La Turbina does, and I am just going off of what I think the words are. Biiiilo, bilo, bilo, bilo Bilo, bilo, bilo, bah Glory, glory, glory, glory To Columbus football club clap-clap-clap Repeat
1. Here We Go (Chant) 2. Whose Your Father, Referee? 3. We Love You (Player Name), We Do! 4. Who Ate All the Pies? (You Fat Bastard!) 5. We All Cheer For A Yellow Soccer Team
I just copied and pasted what was in my inbox, I'd rather figure out the corrected La Turbina chants before we print them.
I haven't talked to any of them about this chant to know if these are the correct words. Only my interpretation of how it sounds.
Hey, not sure if it is appropriate or not for you guys to take suggestions from TFC fans but here goes anyway. I was driving along the other day and Coldplay's "Yellow" came on the radio....first thing I thought of was that it would make a great anthem for a football team that wore yellow.....do you know any teams like that Look at the stars, Look how they shine for you, And everything you do, Yeah they were all yellow, I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do And it was called yellow So then I took my turn Oh all the things I've done And it was all yellow Your skin Oh yeah your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful D'you know you know I love you so You know I love you so I swam across I jumped across for you Oh all the things you do Cause you were all yellow I drew a line I drew a line for you Oh what a thing to do And it was all yellow Your skin Oh yeah your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful D'you know for you i bleed myself dry For you i bleed myself dry Its true look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine look at the stars look how they shine for you
Your welcome for my forsight to write that a couple days ago I almost think that is intentional by the Toronto fan who either read Crewture or the Crew Anthem thread and is trying to get a rise out of us. It is too much of a coincidence
What ever happened to the american union songs? Did they ever get picked up? I suggested: Roll the Union on Bill suggested: What side are you on? It also goes without saying that you should start every game with the Internationale.
What if we just took 2 versus then added a Columbus *clap clap clap* Columbus *clap clap clap* to the end? Obvious inspiration is obvious... well.. obviously.
Pio, Pio, Pio, Pio..... Pio, Pio, Pio, Pa..... Dale, Dale, Dale, Dale... A Columbus tu Pa-Pa, TU PAPA!
