2 assists to Bale. Unlucky with the chance. Pope saved it very well.

Great scoring opportunity for Sonny ends with him blazing his shot to Row Z

    They’re ugly, but they’re also f50 adizeros...

******** those were some great boots, especially the leather variant.

On another note, I really hope Lo Celso gets healthy soon, watching Moura play as a 10 is so incredibly frustrating.

It took 18 months for Jose to figure out Dier sucks.

Both assists were fantastic today. Unlucky not to come away with 2 goals as well, but a good sign for the team

Son unlucky not to get an assist from the Dele goal (ruled an OG in the end) and also gave a perfect ball to Kane for a free header. Been passing really well these past games + is working really hard into the last minute defensively.

Team is lucky to scrape by a win, being bailed out by a handball in the buildup. Pretty disappointing stuff not being able to win convincingly vs a relegation side but at this point you take the 3 points with this team.

Apparently this was Tottenham’s 44th game this season, making them the team with the most games played in all of Europe.

Tangentially related, but I think Mou would have absolutely loved prime Park Ji-sung

Really hope the news about SHM being called up for a meaningless friendly is untrue...

0 shots today and another goal less game. How does Ben Davies register more shots than you?

Here's a good analysis of what appears to be Sonny's new role

He's been playing more wide rather than playing as an inverted winger/centrally. With the addition of Bale, he's definitely became more of a provider, picking out some excellent passes every game. This game was a bit rough from a crossing/provider standpoint but Zagreb were playing like 5 back so there weren't too many good chances throughout the entire game.

I think with a real goalscoring threat (finally) from the right wing in Bale, the game will shift where teams don't simply hone in on Son/Kane, the latter who is in incredible form on all levels at the moment. I'd rather he get a couple assists, help in build-up, and be a pest defensively while not having to bear the goalscoring load if the team continues to win for it. That being said, he should've scored a couple times (e.g the perfect free header he got from Bale on Sunday's game, another sitter he missed ~3 EPL games ago) and needs to regain that clinical form he had for the first stretch of the season. I'm sure it's partly just exhaustion that's been building up, Spurs have the most games played in ALL top European leagues and SHM has played basically more than anyone esp when Kane got a knock. Hopefully pulls out another banger in the NLD this Sunday.
