A trend I've seen for SHM this season (including the WC) was a single-minded focus on scoring. His slow start may be the cause for this but it seems like anytime he gets the ball in the final third, the horse blinders come on and he tries to give himself space for a shot without looking at his teammate's positions. Not only do these less-than-ideal positions create poor scoring chances from a shot but he's stifling any good passage of play that Tottenham have built up. He needs to take a breather and contribute in a different capacity than trying to bang in goals with Richarlison hot on his heels.
haven't caught all the games this season but why is he playing so centrally? he's by far at his most dangerous when he's charging down the left flank with the option to cut inside with his right foot or get to the byline and cross/cutback playing centrally kind of negates this dynamic and his speed isn't utilized either unless they play balls over the top
