SON MOVES TO LEVERKUSEN http://www.bundesliga.com/en/liga/news/2012/0000257309.php Bayer 04 have signed the South Korea international Heung-Min Son. The 20-year-old Son joins Bayer 04 from Hamburg SV on a contract to 30 June 2018. The two clubs have agreed not to disclose the details of the move. "In Heung Min Son we have signed a player who, despite his age, was a key player at Hamburger SV. He has huge potential and is exactly the type of player we are looking to bring into the club for next season when we compete in Europe," commented Leverkusen chairman Wolfgang Holzhauser. Those sentiments were echoed by sporting director Rudi Völler, who added, "Heung Min Son is quick, agile, technically strong and has a fantastic shot. He will help us achieve our goals in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League." Thanks Hamburg for all the memories, nothing but class Football Master Bayer 04 Leverkusen official site confirms: http://www.bayer04.de/b04-eng/en/_site_index.aspx
Leverkusen fans seem very pleased at SHM's arrival: http://www.werkself.de/board3-bayer...n/?s=26d6d5190576d0857d061743640ac437db731432 Willkommen Son!
Wow the fans are really happy about this move Also what number should he take? 9 and 10 are open now but so is 15/40
I realized that was kinda dumb on my part later on. I was referring to how they play, since he seems more like a false 9 than a pure 9 I've actually never watched him before in my life ...
i don't know much about him either, but based on my little knowledge of him... he plays a bit like SHM but operates on the right side.
Thanks mods or mu. Here are the local papers that I could find. Leverkusen shares its papers with bigger cities in the area, Köln and Düsseldorf. http://www.express.de/bayer-04-leverkusen/3288,3288.html http://www.ksta.de/bayer-04/15189374,15189374.html http://www.rp-online.de/sport/fussball/vereine/bayer-04/
Time has gone so fast. Still remember my first post about Son's first training with HSV 3 years ago. https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...hamburg-sv-2009-2010-r.1404350/#post-21172445 3 years and he gone from being an unknown, shy teenager to an important player in a big club like HSV and one of the most promising players in the Bundesliga. Rapid development. Man, He's still 20!!! The boy has the potential to develop further and further. One of Son's biggest strengths is that he is a hard worker, has a willingness to learn and improve his strengths (shooting) and weaknesses (passing). Leverkusen, in my opinion is the best available club for him. They're stable club playing good football that fit Son's style of play and offer European games. Good for him to go there. He's still has a lot to learn and Leverkusen is known as club that develop young talents. As a HSV fan, I'm bit disappointed he didn't stay for at least one more year for the club that brought him to Europe when he was 16 years old, but for €10m HSV can reinvest that money in a couple of defenders (Adler can't save the day every time ). Wish him all the best.
Good: Thalys serves Paris to Cologne (2o minutes from Leverkusen) in 3 hours and the wife wanted to add a train ride next summer so perhaps I can trick the family into going there. Bad: Probably will be during WC and will be visiting ghost town.
Eh? I see it more as due diligence on medical check... Remember, SHM does have history with injuries.....
Was just referring not to the existence of generic pre-transfer medical as much as being so eager as to shipping their doctor all the way over to korea rather than waiting a week til he could fly back to Germany post WCQ.
