Honestly, as talented as Son is...this isn't a player that has the ambition and mentality of a top player. Look at other asian players like ji sung park...nowhere near as talented but played with far more heart and wanted to win at all costs.

How could a player of his level stay at such a trash club for this long? Even Kane forced a move at some point, its honestly embarassing.

He is happy where he is. Let the man be. He's making life choices that suit him, not to make BSK posters happy, and he should not be criticized for that.

The tactics are so predictable and stale. All out attack and so open at the back. All that pressing and ball possession yet to hard to score goals. Angeball has the lowest goals for the given amount of effort. It also wears out his players. Look at all the injuries.

    - They're currently the highest scoring PL team. All that pressing and ball possession has given them 2nd highest xG/match,1.86, behind MC who's at 2.18. And they are scoring more goals (2.09/match) than expected. (MC is scoring less than expected.)
    - Yes, they are more open at the back and vulnerable to counters. Yet, they are tied for 5th in goals conceded so far this season.

    - Wearing out players leading to more injuries. The number of hammies is indeed alarming. I would love see comparative numbers on this.

Does he have the balls to leave and take on a new challenge?

Even Spurs journalists and fans are turning on him.

In his prime, he would've scored at least 2 today... even a hattrick. His form is shit and his confidence is obviously very low as well.. He's missed very good chances in 3 matches in a row now..

Probably the last chance to lift a trophy at Spurs.

Apparently not even Messi has yet to score an "Olympico" despite trying over 20 times lol.

    That goal was top draw.

I'm going to miss him once he retires, despite the fact that I never was really a huge fan of him.

It's unfortunate but his legs are gone. You lose a step in the Prem and it's massive. But still fast enough to play in other top 5 leagues. But in the Prem he can't deal with a high press anymore

Getting painful to watch now. Missed pen today. Lost his confidence. Man is a true legend, I hope for better days for him.

Then he's supposed to play even better to get attention. He's just getting old. That's it. His performance has been awful. I can't defend him. Can't blame on the team/manager.

Too late. Should have left in the previous summer. And I don't trust KOR media. If this is true, makes his case even worse. You play to get a move that you want.

His biggest problem is he's out of form on top of age related issues that every pro must one day face. He's missing what for him, are sitters. And it's costing the team.

One of his positive attributes is that he is likeable player who is passionate in wanting to perform well and has that "nice guy" character. However, that is also one of his greatest weakness, as he is too emotional in making certain decisions, both in and out of the pitch.

Dude got too attached with sentimentality and he is paying for it with fans turning against him.
In modern football, many top players knew when to bow out and push for a move. His loyalty for Spurs may have been justified for a period of time, but that shouldn't have meant he had that sense of loyalty for the remainder of his career, including when he was still in his prime imo.

    100%

He could have forced his way out last summer. And Levy would still have gotten compensation for his sale.

Was hoping he would be going out on a high note at the club he reached his prime, but he stayed with Spurs of all the clubs. At least PJS won trophies, despite not leaving ManUtd on a high note either.....

Barca move making more and more noise. Makes sense Deco would want him on a free.

It's shocking high much and high quickly Son's performance has fallen. He seems like a shell of himself.
