some of you met Nik, my friend from Croatia that came for season opener vs Fire. So on Tuesday he calls me up in afternoon and goes "dude Dinamo is playing Rangers in Toronto, get in a car and go there" So I go "um whaa, I'm at work jackass, why didn't you tell me this on weekend so I take day off? and I can't get to fvckin Toronto in 4 hours" he says "it was on BBB board a week ago" and I say "I hate you and I don't read every damn thread on there"

oh well, looked like good time, 18k people and 1:0 victory. Had some fun smokin up the place :p

See funny thing about Croatians is that 2nd and 3rd generation in Australia, Germany, US, Canada, etc still follow home teams and country for some reason instead of country where they were were born. They speak Croatian funny too hehe.

So those are fat Americans and Canadians of Croatian descent :D

Home grown ones get beer bellies but not as much, see

I'm third generation Croatian, but only on my moms side. And she left pittsburgh where all her relatives live to come to DC, and has no ties to any Croatian community.

I follow the Crotian national team (and often play them on soccer vid games). But I dont know much about the clubs. Can anyone reccomend a site to read up on soccer in Croatia and the teams etc?

hehe yea lots of Croatians live in Pittsburg. I don't really know any in US either.

Croatian league is horrible, so you're better off sticking with national team unless you're one of unfortunates that was following home teams since childhood. :D

emberasingly crappy Dinamo homepage (English side news don't seem to be updated) http://www.nk-dinamo.hr/

    Hajduk Split http://www.hnkhajduk.hr/

    foodball federation http://www.hns-cff.hr/

league has been bad for 10 or so years so supporter scene is crappy too, 4 bigger groups are
    Bad Blue Boys http://www.badblueboys.hr
    Torcida http://www.torcida.org
    Armada http://www.armada-rijeka.hr
    Kohorta http://www.kohorta.net

In general groups have nicer pages then their clubs lol

    or a slingshot ;)

How much fun would that be? (at least, until the CSC caught up with you.) you could place smoke and pyro pretty much anywhere in the stadum; la norte could TP the north goal again -- hell for that matter the Barra could TP the north goal; we could fling donuts at Fat Tony from the far side of the stadium... the mind boggles.

Hmmm, I see the headline now.
" Fans mug, rob t-shirt flingers"
No, the t-shirts given away at games weren't the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, said an uniidentified fan.
"Since stick-ball came to RFK, fans have been jonesin' to tp goals.
It had to happen, it's like Moon Pies and RC Cola, it just HAS to be."

That's from away game vs AC Milan and since they turned Milan, their supporters and police upside down I guess those were some of the culprits (http://www.badblueboys.hr/slike/thumbnails.php?album=199) Normally every face is blured or blackstriped, it looks pretty silly heh We lost that leg 6:1 on aggregate lol

This canister they're using is naval smoke signal, those are usually orange for visibility. Canada is much more free in that regard, I've seen pictures of Canadian groups 10x smaller than Barra with 10x as much smoke hehe

heh funny I went and looked and I saw pink, orange, blue, yellow smoke but no red. I've seen it in Argentina and Italy tho, and for sale. Most flares and smokes used in Croatia are stolen off ships tho, that's why they're orange. Then we blame gypsies for stealing :D
