I recently bought a four pack of the Sioux City version of Birch Beer at a Pete's Fresh Market (think the Oak Park location). Think they carried other brands of Birch Beer, but don't ask me which ones.
Marianos has birch beer. I got the Sioux City one last night. Right now I'm drinking Filberts Ginger beer because something I ate yesterday didn't agree with me. Maybe a side effect of eating a Lithuanian "supplement bar" with no english characters on it and a picture of a guy lifting weights on the front. http://www.efarma.lt/en/hematogenas-klasikinis-vita-50g must be the cows blood. Who knew cows blood could taste like a tootsie roll?
If you watched the Fire game, then you consumed something (since we are just "consumers" now) that did not agree with you! What do you think tootsie rolls are made of? Certainly not chocolate. I have watched how they are made on "Unwrapped" or "How Its Made" or some such show, and they mention "cocoa". I don't buy it. Cow's blood makes much more sense. Yeah, I still don't buy it.
The beer store near my house has 30 packs of la Crosse lager for $14 ... so yeah .. when I'm not drinking coffee or la Croix ... La cheap.
We used to get keystone 30 packs at the Hy-Vee in Rock Island for $9.99. Before my senior year, I was moving into my house a couple weeks early because I was going on a foreign term for the first quarter. The Hy-Vee was expanding to a bigger building and was generally a mess. They had made the terrible mistake of mis-pricing a pallet of miller lite (or some such beer) 24 packs. They were supposed to be on sale for something like $14, but rang up at $1.40 instead. We bought them all. I kept my roommate drunk for months and there was still some left over for a big party when I got home.
I wish more craft beer makers would bother to make something that's not an IPA. IPA's taste terrible to me as I am not a fan of the "throw all the hops you have into the vat" style of beer making. Yesterday I was drinking some Red Stripe. Hooray Beer.
How do you know Andy hates IPAs? Yeah, you're probably right, he is mostly likely all about snooty Sonoma wines in his immaculately clean wine cellar. Edit: Oh, I see what you mean.
No it's a flower or something. I have been brewing a cup right before bed and it's been lights out lately
Oh, I see. Thanks for the tip, but I don't really need a sleep aid. The issue is that I'm like a toddler when it gets to bed time. I always want to do just one more thing first. Once I actually lie down, the sleeping part is easy.
Yeah I get that. Kinda why I unplugged the pc in my bedroom. I should move my phone charger to the other end of the room but, I used double sided strong tape to glue it to my bedside table
You should try having a TV show you watch to go to bed. It kinda starts a pattern for your brain to follow. I watch "Planet Earth" to get to sleep and my mom watches "Perry Mason". Find something that puts you in the mood to sleep and watch every night.
