I wasn’t telling you what to do. I was telling you what was happening.

  2. Thanks. I am well aware of Starbucks union busting tactics. It's hard to avoid odious practices in our interconnected world. I hope the union succeed there.

Well...wifey and I bought the obligatory carton of egg nog and were wandering down the booze aisle looking for any rum halfway decent enough to pour into an eggnog (it's a pretty low bar) and really I was disappointed enough to walk away until I could get to a real liquor store when the wife spotted a bottle of "Hard Truth Toasted Coconut Rum" (clear white rum) and at $22 the price was right so we bought it. I'm now kicking back with my low effort egg nog but having tasted the rum straight before I dumped it into a buttery egg nog concoction with some fresh nutmeg ground over it I gotta say TWO BIG THUMBS UP if you all run into a bottle. It comes out of Nashville, Indiana and is good enough to be dangerous.

THIS is some dedication "to the craft"!

Wisconsin man tests 21 times the legal limit, arrested for 2nd OWI

    https://www.wearegreenbay.com/news/...1-times-the-legal-limit-arrested-for-2nd-owi/

A preliminary breath test found the driver to have an alcohol concentration of .427. Following a previous arrest for OWI, deputies say the driver was to have a .02 restriction, making him 21x the legal limit.

Note, .4% is potentially fatal, and can also cause one to become comatose.
.427 would be 16-18 drinks in an hour for a 180 lb. person.

For this idiot, "Nah, I'm good to drive."

Others in Wisconsin, "What, just his second OWI? Pfft. Amateur!"

(OWI is a DUI for your "FIBs," by the way)

    Wow!
.02 is a strangely tight limit, but over .1 and your reactions are certainly ‘impaired’…hence .08 is a common limit.

‘Functioning’ above .4 must require a lot of practice!

Again, it was lowered since he had a previous OWI and was supposed to have an ignition lock.

It is a weird quirk in Wisonsin OWI law.

Note, an OWI is NOT a criminal offense in Wisconsin.
    Well, not the first one.

It is a civil forfeiture offense (and, a traffic offense, of course).

It's -20 and I had to pick my better half up at work.

We stopped at the local for pints of Three Sheeps Armchair Quarterback and
Shot of Malört to warm up a bit.

    Feeling pretty toasty now!

My favorite brew pub up here has reopened.

They have the best Oktoberfest beer in America. Seriously they do.

Their schwarz beer (Midnight Star) is the same.

Some of the other recipes have changed but I am looking forward to Oktoberfest season this year.

So does a bottle of schnapps freeze if you stick it in the snow at -25?
