Clint (and Barnetta) out with (hopefully) minor injuries. Can use a full translation, but looks like Clint's ankle has a tweak- suffered while attempting a volley during his USA Men's time (he caught a volley wrong off his toes?). So far, doesn't sound too too serious. Unfortunately, he will miss tomorrow's test match. Looks like a more serious examination will take place to determine the real problem

A couple days back, Clint did play the first 45 minutes in a test match, and apparently played OK/well. A 5-1 win, and Hannover up 3-1 when Clint left after 45 minutes. He had one nice assist, and came close on one shot.

From the lineup, it appears he was either playing right midfield, or an offense midfield position (but not forward)...

This looks like a job for Babelfish. :)

    Barnetta and Mathis must fit
Without Clint Mathis and new acquisition "Quillo" Barnetta the red ones in the tomorrow's test play against the Bulgarian championsleague participant locomotive Plovdiv to begin will have. With both 96-Spielern older problems emerged again, which are to be clarified now on the basis a nuclear spin tomography. Swiss complains about problems in the Adduktorenbereich, the US American has problems with his left knoechel.

Also goal keeper franc Juric did not terminate the today's in the morning unit. The ex-Leverkusener felt a pinching in the right thigh with training with gate waiting coach Joerg they verse and became rausgenommen caution for the sake of.

Tranquillo Barnetta already took the "lengthy Adduktorengeschichte" of the EM in Portugal also in the training camp, to described Chefcoach Ewald Lienen. Pain at the beginning of the schambeines would arise again and again, which had not really left unfortunately. Also Clint Mathis carries still refuse dumps with itself around. He suffers from the consequences of a Volleyschusses during his international match journey with the USA six weeks ago ago. The "Clint Commander" got the ball at that time unfortunately with the toes, so that its left foot is to the rear away-broken. After the training-free afternoon of yesterday again pain symptoms in the knoechel emerged. Now a nuclear spin tomography is to bring explanation about the injuries on the tomorrow's day.

Although Barnetta and Mathis could not participate in the today's in the morning unit, they pursued the training of their colleagues as well as the fastened Jiri Stajner and Nebojsa Krupnikovic of the collateral line and from Fitmacher Edward Kowalczuk were employed (photo). Since the training staff worked today much within the tactical range, the hurt ones could in such a way win important realizations despite their absence. The training staff platzierte then also all fitten new acquisitions in the "yellow" A-team, in order to co-ordinate laufwege and tactical behavior.

This afternoon o'clock the second training unit of the daily takes place starting from 17. Here you find all training times of the red ones!

What the article is basically saying is that Mathis did not take part in the morning workout, they're still active in Hannover96's pre-season preparations.

I can only presume that Mathis is close to returning to a full training regimen.

What the hell is a left knoechel? I hope it didn't hurt as much as it sounds like it did. :)
