Time to lay myself on the line. Here is what I think the standings will look like at the end of the day on October 26.
    EAST
    1. Columbus Crew
    2. New England Revolution
    3. D.C. United
    4. MetroStars
    5. Chicago Fire

So are we going to be the league underdogs this whole season?

p.s. if we sign Andy Moeller, how would this lineup change?

Nah, just until about week 3, at which point we become the team to beat.

Anybody who purports to have a clue as to how the Eastern Conference will shake out is full of it. The only "safe" prediction is

    1. Columbus
2.-5. Chicago, DC, Metro, New England

Columbus is the only one of the bunch that you can make sense of on paper, but they looked strong on paper last year and look where it got them.

We were the under dogs in '98. The East is up for grabs, no prediction is safe...that being said: "Fusion get reinstated and win it all." :)

Until we score goals against MLS teams I guess we can't be that highly rated by others.

I think the MLS should introduce relegation.

Look where it got them in League play. Connelly wasn't predicting the Open Cup, was he now?

I think the East is totally up for grabs from top to bottom. I still think the Fire will finish ahead of DC and Metro. And is it just me or does anyone else just see New England as being a total flop this season.

With their lack of midfield to get the ball to their forwards, yes. I thik Bradley sait it best when he mentioned something about them winning games with 5 points, they'll also have 4 goals scored against them...

And play our games at Northwestern. Wait, we can't? Why not? :)

We MUST hold out for a new Firehouse. We're all waiting for those "personal shakers" that were promised in the 1000+ bathrooms at the new stadium.
