So it's politics to either have no real beliefs or to suppress them to be more right wing every now and then? To work with a party that fights tooth and nail to suppress left-wing politicians? That vote blue only extends to those chosen to be part of the club? To put your name on a resolution saying supporting the people is bad, on the same day the biggest socialist is meeting with the president? Maybe I don't understand politics I guess. It's weird to compromise moral values for ..well, not sure what for.
What purpose is there to this? Aren't there more important things for them to be doing than (as it appears to me) gesture politics?
Honest answer is no, they don’t. Once upon a time, congressional committees had a great deal of power to shape legislation in their areas. Nowadays the Speaker of the House has 99% of the power. Point being, while in the past the other 434 Representatives could make a difference in committee and in subcommittee, now they can’t. Their jobs are to raise money so they can win reelection and go back to being one of 435 votes. They don’t do any actual legislating. Only the House speaker does.
Well, you have to have moral values to compromise them. Ceez doesn't have any values. Neither do the White White supremacists.
