This is a fascinating interview with the author of Soccerworld, with some really good stuff on the US's place in the soccer and why soccer is the perfect lens to study nationalism and local efforts to resist global identity.

I think my sister in law picked this book up for me in SF. I hope so.

As soon as I can get some free time, I am going to try and read it. It seems like it might be a bit dry, but I can plow through anything soccer related.
