Soccer Weekly, Inc. Secures U.S. English Language Radio Broadcast Rights for Barclaycard English Premier League Live.

LONDON (Thursday, January 28, 2003) – Soccer Weekly, Inc. , America's premier producer of English language soccer talk sports radio, has acquired the exclusive US English language radio broadcast rights to the Barclaycard English Premier League Live for the remainder of the 2002/2003 season. As part of Soccer Weekly, Inc.’s rights agreement it will produce a 45 minute pre game show prior to broadcasting the live play by play direct from England. The coverage will be augmented with exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with top players and coaches, and in-depth sports news and commentary. The program will launch on February 1st with coverage of Southampton vs. Manchester United.

The broadcast will be carried nationally via the Sports Byline Radio Network which will provide distribution to a wide affiliate market, Sirius Satellite Radio and the American Forces Radio Network.

    1) You can NOT get it on the internet.
    2) The deal is put together by World Soccer Weekly, and the distribution is by the Sports Byline Radio Network so there may be some overlap with the stations that carry WSW, but this series just started and the affiliates are starting to signup.
    3) The SIRIUS satellite radio system (which is marketed for use in your car, but of course can be set up at home) is at this point the most available choice.

I expect to get more information on this, including the affiliate list as it grows, and post the information on www.socceraudio.com
