Guys: There aren't any regional forums here, so that's why I'm posting in this forum instead. I don't know Columbus very well, but I need to look at some Nike Mercurial Vapors before ordering them online. I know of Ryan's on Bethel road - is there another soccer store close to the OSU area ? I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could let me know Thanks, - Joe
The only other place that will have a really good selection and range of sizes is in Westerville. Ryan's is closer, but I'm not positive they have the full nike line.
Ryan's Soccer on Bethel closed a few weeks ago. Soccer Plus in Westerville or Soccer Unlimited in Dublin are your best bets.
YITBOS knew darn good and well that I couldn't restrain myself. Bastard. Soccer Plus in Westerville is in the top five adidas dealers in the US, and that includes Eurosport. He's only in the top ten nationally with Nike. He has your shoe in stock, in your size. Whatever the hell it might be.
I kid, but Bill isn't the only one that plugs Soccer Plus. If you live around campus, make the 15-20 minute drive up to Soccer Plus (east of I-71 by a mile and North of I-270 by a mile). I don't know diddly from one shoe to the other, but they've always been friendly; and whatever I've bought from them, I've been very happy using. As to the "whatever the hell it might be" category, I have a size 14 soccer shoe. IIRC, he had 9 different styles/manufacturers in stock!
Wow thanks for the help guys. Just got home from playing and I see all of the replies. I guess I'm going to have to make a trip out there sometime. Probably never considering that I am without a car I went to Ryan's today and saw that they were closed. I wonder what happened with them. It's too bad because there are a lot of OSU students that want cleats and no place to buy them. I'll just have to risk it and get the Mercurial Vapors without sizing first ! - Joe
If you have the space on your plastic to float it, I recommend that you buy 2 pairs (obviously 2 different sizes), when it arrives, keep the best fitting and send the other pair back. That way your chance of getting the correct fit is better and you don't have to deal with returning and reordering if the size you were going to order is too small.
Or give Larry a call. He can probably help you out.' http://www.soccerplususa.com/home.asp Too bad about Ryan's though. The owner (wish I could recall his name) is a great guy.
Thanks for all your help guys, I really appreciate it. Despite most of you tearing up the Columbus Crew on a daily basis, you don't hesitate to stop and offer a helping hand - Joe
