Estadio Chivas is a nice venue, you don't need to keep posting pictures of it, we get that. But it's all for naught if they put fake grass in. Fake grass can ruin any stadium.

Yea he does. Why the hell do you think I/we keep coming into this thread? To read about your opinions?

I scroll through all the bullshit you guys have been posting and check if there are any updated pics of stadiums or any new stadium announcements for the region.

    More pictures, less talk.

Correction. San Jose is no where near financing their stadium. The plans for a new stadium in San Jose has been pretty much scrapped by the owner who is also the owner of an MLB team in the area and is focusing his efforts on a new baseball stadium. Count on the Quakes playing at the local university for the foreseeable future or moving to another city.

WTF are u talking about? The Quakes stadium financing is well under way. And the plans for the stadium have in no way been scrapped. In fact the first construction on the site for the practice field is well under way.

    False.

The site has been purchased. the design has been created, and the team is waiting on securing annual sponsorship funding. The attempt to secure a new A's stadium is much further behind in the process.

There have been preliminary plans, and planning this and planning that, but nothing has been set in stone. No new stadium plans have been confirmed nor is financing isn't complete. Besides, you know Wolf is putting this on the back burner.

There are plenty of threads on the subject in MLS or the Earthquakes subforum specifically. 5 million in funding is required by Lew Wolff before he'll commit to putting shovels in the ground. The stadium might be ready by 2012 if this all works out.

And I like how you accept your compatriots assertion San Jose's deal is dead while asking for proof on the other end. Hypocrisy is awesome!

Agreed to site being purchased and design proposed.

Financing is not complete and Wolf will give priority to first securing a new A's stadium over the Quakes. Come on now don't be ridiculous.

Not until financing is complete and everything is set in stone can you say that a new stadium will be constructed. Anything short of that is the team owners wishful thinking. I'm not saying it will never happen, but just hasn't happened yet. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Actually the stadium plans have been confirmed. I was at several city council meetings where they were approved. And the EIR will be complete and certified next month. Realistically the only thing holding it up at this point is financing, financing we have had no reports on in months. The only thing that hasn't been confirmed is the final designs though we were given the prelims in Sept.

As for Wolff (thats two F's), putting it on the back burner do u have a link to back that speculation?
