Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were for the chances of the Wizards actaully getting a new stadium? I've read somewhere that some kind of announcement could be made by the end of March. I would really like to get my hopes up for something positive here in KC with all the momentum the league seems to have right now. I'm probably the most excited I've been about an upcoming season with the Beckham signing and the announcement of the InterLiga tournament plus I'm planing on a road trip to Denver to catch a Rapids game in their new stadium. It will be my first chance to view a game in a SSS. I can't wait for the day to be watching a game in our very own SSS here in KC. Will that day ever come????
might as well make this the kc game there. there's a decent chance my friends and i will be making this game too.
Since we are going to get our own SSS anyway, we should concentrate our time and efforts on the development of something else that rules. Say, and In & Out Burger for instance.
A lot of us in the Cauldron have been talking about making the game at Colorado an official Road Trip game (assuming it happens on a Saturday or possibly a Sunday).
I've seen the construction of the new stadium, and I'm definitely flying out for the game in Denver, it's just too convienent to fly there and watch the game.... Hotels are located quite close to the stadium.. and a drive downtown or to the mountains are very easy... I plan a 4 day vacation for this..
When I think about it I believe we have only one regular season match with Colorado so hopefully it will be there and not here. And on that note it will be interesting to see if the league schedules our one Galaxy match in LA so Beckham does not have to play in a high school stadium.
Thanks for the encouraging words. Just hope to see some actions soon that make those words come true.
No, that's been changed, originally we were gonna have 1 game period against Colorado, that's been changed, we now have 1 home and 1 away against CO.
Yes. We play West teams 2 times. 1 home and 1 away We play East teams 3 times each. 3 of them 2 home/1 away and other 3 1 home/2 away.
I wonder if this is random, or if the league tries to maximize the hype with the likes of DC, New York and Chicago playing the two homes and one away with Galaxy; while a KC or a Columbus will play 2 away and a home with the newly anointed saviors, Golden Balls and the Galaxy. Really would be great to see the Wiz beat the piss out of them (no pun intended) twice, and on HS field no less.
You're confusing the situation. The East play 1 home and 1 away against each West team Colorado RSL LA Chivas Houston Dallas for a total of 12 The East then plays 2 home 1 away or 1 home 2 away against the other 6 teams in the East DC RBNY Toronto Chicago Columbus NE KC for a total of 18 The West will be 1 home 1 away against each of the East =14 games 2 home 1 away 1 home 2 away against the rest of the West = 15 games 1 more game against your regional rival, meaning RSL-CO, LA-CHivas, Dallas-Houston for a total of 30 games.
Assuming next season with 14 teams, then I think that the West schedule will look more like the East schedule from this year. Meaning there will be 18 Conf games and 14 non-conference games. A 32 game season again.
None here. They are just in Nevada and California to my knowledge. Everytime I go to Vegas, I make sure I eat lunch there once. I think that they would do really well here. I was also drunk and super hungry when I posted that.
kc really has gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to fast-food chains. i'd love to have a jack in the box here. i've never had in and out or chick-fil-a, but i've heard nothing but rave reviews about both of 'em.
I would love to have a Jack in the Box too. I think they use to have a few in KC but violated some health codes and cannot do business in KC any longer. Dont know how true that is.
