Did they ever win? I think they have a couple of runner up finishes, but I don't recall them winning

Maybe in the Chuck Taylor Era but mostly been a non-entity

UCONN has the best men's & women's program in recent memory. Unless the UCLA women were good during the men's run. I have no idea.

Even if they were, inaugural women's NCAA BB title game was 1982, so no way to tell. AIAW did something or another starting in the early 70s, but I don't know if it's worth mentioning without the NCAA branding. UCLA's run of seven started in '67, two before and one after.

Could start then next day maybe come out of the bullpen. Pay the dude double if he makes it to the majors. Or just be a lefty/righty specialist out of the pen in the same inning.

Yeah, talk about shooting yourself in the foot, giving people who want a reason to hate you the perfect reason- you ********ed over their kids.

Somebody needs to give these people a heads up about keeping their heads down when they get here... "We have rules and regulations in this country, and you're going to have to learn to follow them. Flouting conventions calls attention to you, and you already know you're not supposed to even be here, so don't raise their ire any more than it's already raised".

When we (school team I coached) practiced, there were always two full teams of grown men, almost certainly recent immigrants, waiting to use the pitch when we finished. But that was Georgia, so they waited politely. I stuck around and watched them once. They weren't bad.

They just made this worse for a bunch of immigrants. I have lived in NYC and never seen this problem occur, they always knew to wait. This is wild to me

Exactly. The right will use it again to bash cities.

Interesting how the Right rank and file have so few cultural needs. It's like all of them want to live in a town of 20K or fewer... no education, no jazz, no exotic food, music, or literature, no nothing but big brand stores and restaurants.

Y'all, its a NYPost story pitting a likely White club team (not a high school team) against immigrants. I'm putting no value in the authenticity of the story.

Ok I’m a little late to the party.

But it does make me a bit nervous, and yet validated. It just shows why I’m right that a Trump of the left would find an audience for propagandic lies very easily. Look at how many fell for this without an ounce of skepticism.

    You forgot a good multi-plex.

The left bashes small, rural towns all the time. I get it all the time, plus I'm assumed to be stupider than the urban elites. Pisses me off, actually.

People have different wants and desires, which is why we have small towns and big cities, so that folks can sort themselves accordingly. I've been in this small town paradise for 32 years and I'm so sick of it I could scream (and we're planning on moving to the city to retire) but I don't lock my house/car and I could let my kids shop unattended int he cereal aisle while I shopped without having child protective services beat down my door.

  23. Yeah. It's stupid to run a marathon if you are able to do it,10 minutes faster than the current record holder.
If you're smart you take off 30 seconds, then the last guy runs and improves your record with 30 seconds etc.
Marathon track managers love to sign a possible world record Marathon time. So give it to several tracks and make money 10 times instead of once in a 10 minutes blow of the record.
