Alright, alright. This may sound familiar to y'all. But this bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Welshman is here to turn around US soccer furrealz. Who's with him? LET'S GO!!! https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/65...velopment-challenge-matt-crocker-usmnt-uswnt/
Its a fantastic place to grow up (or was when I was in HS here) but not necessarily one to be an adult, unless you're a geek. As the small town has become a small city, segregation has become the norm. If you put seven Huntsvilles together and add some water nearby, you'll have San Diego. That's the impression San Diego left me with- clean, quiet and boring af
Gotcha. Obviously, I'll defer to you since you live there and grew up there. My perspective is solely based on that very limited exposure of going there a few times when my son had matches. Oh---and flying into the airport a couple of times before getting my rental car to drive to Florence and/or Decatur to take depositions----a long time ago.
Uh... @russ ...I'm afeared to dive into the fan thread so what's the thought on the footie match today?
This is one way to score out of a corner kick. https://youtube.com/shorts/vIv5bG2n9Dg?si=8CFcyupwc9zb5dyd
Hmm... In a September stunner in Nottinghamshire, where Nuno Espirito Santo has been sacked as coach of Nottingham Forest after a tempestuous fortnight at the club. Espirito Santo led Forest to the Europa League last season but shocked the Premier League by going public last month regarding the state of his relationship with club leadership, including owner Evangelos Marinakis and director Edu Gaspar — the ex-Arsenal technical director. Forest drew their next match, at Palace, before falling 3-0 to West Ham at home prior to the international break. Espirito Santo said he planned to speak with Marinakis but Sky Sports says: “The meeting that Nuno wanted with the Forest owner never happened. Instead, the Greek billionaire has decided it is better to replace Nuno with a new head coach at the City Ground, feeling it is the only way to move the club forward.” Sky Sports are also reporting that USMNT boss Mauricio Pochettino is among the names Forest like to replace Espirito Santo, as Forest appreciate the ex-Spurs and Chelsea boss as well as “Oliver Glasner, Andoni Iraola, and Marco Silva https://www.nbcsports.com/soccer/news/nuno-espirito-santo-sacked-by-nottingham-forest?cid=nbcnews
Every time I read or hear Nottingham Forest I think of Sherwood Forest. I remember even being shocked when I Googled years ago that they didn't wear green...
Until now, same here. I merged Sheriff of Nottingham and Sherwood Forest into Nottingham Forest. Now I wonder if there is also a Sheriff of Sherwood!
I actually only saw the last 20 as I was at my diaconate p program. expected nothing from this window and am not disappointed.
Big Pussy's brother? Too bad. Needed a reason to ship out Pocchetino since he's given us very little and hire the Reynas as a package deal or Vermes. Or maybe Alexi Lala since we'll be the 1st fascist WC host since Italy '34. Or was it the Argies in '78? Help me out here @argentine soccer fan
Not that I will ever have to worry about it, but I would not want to coach the Republic of Ireland national team - the Irish reporters are absolutely brutal / vicious / blood-thirsty with the questions they are asking the coach after losing to Armenia.
Ray Hudson retired today from announcing matches and commentating. He was on Sirius XM FC this morning saying his good-byes. He could be over the top at times but also thoughtful.and played a part in growing the game in the US.
