This is why I will give more credit to Poch than the players if they make it out of the group.

I don't understand...Arsenal is the best team on the planet yet they're down 2-0 after 20 min!

One would think I've learned not to count my chickens before they're hatched. When Agamemnon was kicking a pig bladder around the corn field his wife, Clytemnestra, told him..."there'll be time enough for counting when the match done!"
    Arse 2...Pool 2 :notworthy:

Bristol thoroughly thrashed. Sheffield await Coventry or Sunderland at Wembley.

Pete Rose is off MLB's permanently ineligible liar.

I'm sure MAGA Daddy will be taking credit.

Trump always on the mind. There's more to life than inserting Donald Trump into every conversation or thought that you think throughout your day. The poster above seems incapable of that.

I don't understand this. Twisting the knife (a knife that can only be felt by his survivors at this point) by allowing the possibility of posthumous induction. Pete Rose is dead. It doesn't matter anymore what you do in his honor. Name the building, ship, or street while honoree can enjoy the fruits of their labor. Same with Halls of Fame. If you miss someone because too many teammates got in early (there are several 70s Steelers waiting or never nominated because of this) or something, there's a remedy for that, I think. My guess is Rose will get inducted eventually. But to deliberately let a man die before he could see even the possibility is foul if you're not going to just say, "
No, never". His family, who knows what Rose was to the game as a player, can say, "******** you"

If that happens, we may have reason to think Rose's character wasn't all that it could have been. Was he in the Trump/Epstein Social Club, maybe?

Sure, that's looking at it from one perspective. Another perspective is that the baseball Hall of Fame has been a joke for ~100 years and will continue to be until these 2 guys are in it.

Well, the loophole that enables them to be inducted still makes the MLB HoF a joke, but perhaps a slightly smaller joke.

I don't know about those guys, I didn't watch baseball back then. But I do know that Barry Bonds is the best hitter I've ever seen, and -steroids or not- if he's not in the baseball Hall of Fame then it is not the baseball Hall of Fame.

He was absolutely fantastic. The drugs only changed him from a singles/double hitter to a power hitter.
