They made it the Barcelona retirement camp. They got him, Biscuits and Bitey. Did Alba stay too?

Who has that payroll to compete with that. It's a joke that one team is allowed to be the Globetrotters and the rest of us, the Generals.

Doing a two for 1. I don't question it. When people who have worked with Saban work with him and say they are 98 percent alike, I believe it. If you watch the game, Colorado has the same issue it kind of had last year and it's got to find a way to get the edge in recruiting. The big boys up front on offense and defense aren't good enough and so they're coming up against serious competition and not being able to hold down the fort.

A lot of skill people want to play for Coach Prime but it seems he's struggling in tightening up his old line and defensive line. I think I think he's going to have to really work on that and recruiting and maybe the Nils and maybe include a coach who's known for being one of the best in getting linemen.

This is an apt metaphor since the Globetrotters didn't have to follow the rules either. The rest of MLS has a salary cap.

lol, no, I don’t watch his Arabian team, unless they show a highlight of his. But I do watch Eliminatorias and Copa America, and Brasil has been pathetic when Neymar is missing. He makes them better and much more watchable.

They're on a downslide and have been for some time. Neymar is kind of a band-aid, IMO.

True, but they are still a much more fun side when he plays. Neymar was expected back for the October and November matches with Brazil, but now I doubt we'll see him at all this year.

Oh well, at least -barring further injury- Messi should be back for us.

The DVR made me love football.

The steaming world is hit or miss. But yeah, being able to start a 1:00 game that I’d DVR’d at 3:00 and finishing up by 4:15…football is great that way.

It’s not unfair until they win a Shield or MLS Cup.

I’m looking forward to the playoff this year…I see 3 top teams in the East and 2 in the West, plus maybe 3 other interesting teams.

The Inter-Crew match in the Leagues Cup was one of the best matches I’ll see all year. Great, great game, with lots of talking points.

And, as a note, there seems to be less excitement around town than there was last year. Novelty wearing off, probably.

    Awesome match.

Also tomorrow, Argentina at Colombia, in a rematch of the Copa America final. Those clever Colombians scheduled the match at 3:30pm in Barranquilla, the hottest, most humid city in their country. Anything to slow us down. But it still should be a good game.

And props to Cristiano for netting the game winner with time running out yesterday against Scotland. His official goal number 901.

I'm happy for Roglic. This whole season has been a downer, after that huge crash early on wiped out so many top riders. The hope, going in, was that the break-up of Visma, Soudal–Quick-Step avoiding merger and Evenepoel sticking with them, would result in several highly competitive grand tour/one day classics teams instead of it primarily being Visma versus Pogacar. Not so much, it would seem. Maybe next year? Could be, but Pogacar is just so damned dominant and UAE so stacked. As I say, I'm glad Roglic won, but I assume Pogacar would have done so had he gone for the triple.

Man I wish I had that option Saturday night. The second half of my Huskers vs The Deion Sanders Show was, as one comment on the Reddit thread said, “a game which could have been an email.”

Well, your guys are ranked. My undergraduate college, until a few years ago a fixture in the FCS playoffs, is in a 20+ game losing streak. They lost 77-3 last weekend, and 54-15 on week one. That team that drubbed them on week one, however, beat Norte Dame in South Bend on Saturday, so there is that.

Well, compared to laying off the entire professional library staff, the losing streak is small potatoes. Though if they lose to the division three team they’re playing in three weeks . . .
