Wait, you're telling me that the country that has had top MFs all over the game for decades are "copying Klopp?"

I mean, Xabi Alonso, Busquets, Xavi, and Iniesta predate Klopp at Liverpool by a good margin. Even today, between Rodri, Fermin Lopez, Pedri, Olmo, Gavi, and others, Spain's MF is pretty damn good now... I dont see them as "copying Klopp," so much as the other way around.

Insofar as MLS goes, I dunno. I dont watch MLS much these days.

I don’t mind breaking, but it’s puzzling why they include it in the Olympic games while letting out skating, baseball, paddle, indoor soccer or pickleball…

Today was a bad day for the USMNT. Just shows that USSF only cares about USWNT.

I think bringing back Notre Dame 5.5 years after the fire that nearly destroyed it is a pretty remarkable achievement.

I can’t figure out why it’s included because, you know, it’s not a sport.

And has the US been this bad at boxing for a while, or is this new?

Kids these days. In my day, we were only allowed to punch our opponents. We couldn’t kick them in the kidneys or bear hug them and throw them to the ground. We could only hit them. AND WE LIKED IT!

Yes and no. The 1999 team was stacked with midfielders. I think the difference here in the US is that we don't have (yet?) that soccer history which appreciates the intricate dribbling and passing and vision that the rest of the world has.

As an example, who knows the name Croix Bethune? She has been on fire this season with Washington, but nobody outside of the geeks will know her because all she does is dribble and pass. And she was rightly picked for the Oly team.

To me, it is frustrating that the midfielders don't get more attention.

Yup. And if not for Naher's two brilliant saves, she would have.

Bro, I agree with @Khan here. Spain academy and player's development are the best in Europe and has been for decades now, nothing to do with Klopp.

I meant the US is. Spain is Spain. Touch and control are more important than athletism

If you go back and read that, I didn’t say I was anti-big-boobs. I said that all boobs are great. They don’t HAVE to be huge. Who doesn’t love titties?

And I’m pretty sure we were using “tits” and “titties.” And yes, I am a grown man, but I don’t always talk like one.

It was never assembled to begin with.

Yet another judged "sport". Way to go, Olympics. It'll be a pageant within the next 20 years.
