    My question to them is "How jealous and bitter do you have to be to leave off Caitlin and Angel?"

    Especially if they only get three downs on offense.

    What if that end zone was 25 yards long?

    They only end zone they get near will be the one where they’re tackled for a safety.

    That was GB to lose after the first two legs. Then a poor hand off, and possibly out of the zone. Being reviewed.

    And we had a poor hand off from Thomas to Richardson. But Richardson is just so fast.

    And Jamaica was nowhere. What a surprise.

    The whole game has been a blast. I planned on 75-25 for a work/watch ratio, but am at more like 40/60. Too many golden chances.

    I missed the first 30+ minutes, so missed much. But there has still been a lot I have seen. What a great gold medal match.

    Great men's football final. That's the way football should always be played.

    This was irresponsible at so many levels:

    It is Incredible that they let him compete with his asthma and kind of remarkable he still got the bronze medal…

    {Ismitje considers abusing his SuperMod powers to excise all evidence of his obvious gaffe . . .}

    {Ismitje instead goes with the playbook from contemporary politics}

    No, those are giraffe spots. You just have a different definition of what a giraffe is and what spots are than me.

    Was watching BBC for the football final, and the switched to "breaking" during halftime. I mean, that was not beak dancing. It was something, but not the stuff I watched in the 80s and 90s.

    Yeah but much bigger field under Canadian rules football to go along with a faster tempo. Can the National Fat-bastards League keep up?

    Doesn't speak to needing a bit of endurance to cope with the faster tempo and larger field.

    But he's not even a "skill" player. He's a "I'm going to crush you at the line player." Doesn't need to cope with a bigger field.

    He fumbled the France first goal but saved a quite a few after. He was playing at “home” as well, he is the 3rd PSG keeper.

    Watching the men's Kite final. I knew windsurfing was part of the Olympics - has been for a long time - but I've never seen Kite before. Mrs. Ismitje just exclaimed "Is someone in the lead? Is there a course here?" but it was just the prelim part so we didn't know what was happening.

    EDIT: it's the first time it has been in the Olympics. It's a wild race.

    Yesterday we watched the first "Olympic Medal Reallocation Ceremony" where athletes from 2000, 2008, and 2012 who lost out on a medal due to a competitor doping received their medals. Six of the ten participants received Bronze so this was their first "podium" moment while the other four were in events where the winner was retroactively disqualified, so they moved up to Gold and Silver.

    I hope this becomes a tradition.
