Any of you over 30 yr olds and live in Johnson county interested in playing, they are accepting sign ups now for the Blue Valley Adult outdoor Soccer league. http://www.eteamz.com/bvasl/news/ I played in the league last year. It is pretty decent competition. Paul Rideout played for one of the teams believe it or not.
if only I still lived in KC.... i'll have to keep trying to convince Kalamazooians that there is a game played outdoors too.... (there are two outdoor leagues, and over 30 (that plays like an indoor league, they have no clue that there is extra space, and an ethnic league, which is really decent, but no one speaks English, including refs, and you have to go to stinking meeting every week or you forfit)
Anyone interested in playing let me know. My team, the Blue Wave needs players as we have 11 on the roster now and can roster up to 25. Last year we had 20 on the roster and 10 or 11 would show up. This league in the past has been kind of unorganized but they have taken major steps this spring. They have an official sponsor in WJ McBrides (Bar in Overland Park) as the league sponsor. WJ McBrides got several beer vendors to sponsor our teams and they are paying for uniform jerseys for each team with the beers logo. Ours is Guinness. I'm interested just because of the jersey. Two problems immediately present themselves. I'm not 30. I've played in the O-30 league here in Wichita so I have a USASA card that says I'm over 30, but..... And I live in Wichita. Although, if they'd be willing to bend the rule for a goalkeeper.....
