Driving by on Wednesday i was scanning whatever was playing on the radio....To my surprise, i tuned into 89.9 FM at about 5:30 PM and they had a play by play of Columbia playing some other team (Delphia?)..... Anyway, anyone knows if this is a regualr thing, or if there is any other type of soccer broadcast on the station.... IMO, it's kind of amazing that apparently broadcasting a college game is affordable, and Metros do not have a radio presence in English (i know, probably apples and oranges)...On the other hand, i like that at least they have a Metro radio PbP it in Spanish, since it is also used as the SAP version on TV, which makes it "doubly useful", so to speak....Anyway, anyone have more info on this?....
I think that's Columbia University's radio station. I know Rutgers often broadcasts their soccer games on their station. I'd be happy if we could get an English radio deal, even if it had to be with one of the college radio stations because even though their signals aren't that strong, most of them broadcast on the web.

Cool ...I don't think it'd hurt to see how much a 2hr.-2.5 hrs lease would cost....It's not my money, but i doubt college games can take all of their time and be that expensive....At least it's cool to know that a radio station in FM (!) will show soccer, even if it's a team i do not follow, and that, as is apparent from JBigjake's post loses pretty much all the time
