In case anyone was wondering, part of the reason there is no la liga, seria a, and championship league on cable tv anymore is because BeIN sports purchased the exclusive rights to these leagues. (they also show ligue 1 but I don't think they have exclusive rights as tv5 still shows it). The CRTC won't let them get on cable because they have rules for international stations competing with canadian ones, ect, ect..I think part of it is because they purchased exclusive rights to these leagues without actually having a channel here. Anyways, there has been a free trial going around for their website, it has quite a few games, all in HD, unfortunately the free trial ends soon, I'm hoping they extend it as I'm unsure how many people know about it. Some of the stuff BeIN has done is sort of annoying, and I'm pretty sure it's going to cost 20 dollars a month(at least they will actually show games unlike SN World), but, it's very nice having these leagues in HD on my tv, definitely worth the free trial, especially if you have an HDMI-USB cable to watch it on your TV.
beIN Sports Canada is on Rogers on channel 391 and on Bell on channel 1412. I assume that it's on free trial right now, but it was a godsend to watch El Clasico a couple months ago, that 3-4. It's showing a number of La Liga matches currently, and other leagues too.
beIN sports gives excellent coverage of La Liga with match coverage but also other programming surrounding Brcelona and Real Madrid shows. Also coverage of Ligue 1 with similar programing surrounding PSG weekly shows as well. Also Serie A also has focus on Roma. EPL gets coverage from top sports networks in both Canada and the US but if you want to see action and programming around the other Euro League and top teams beIN sports has it.
^and a decent number of those seats were filled: Canada Soccer @CanadaSoccerEN 4m 28,255 in attendance tonight at Investors Group Field. Second highest attendance for a #canWNT senior game in Canada.
Hey guys, sorry, I hope this is not too off topic, but I'm not sure where else to ask this. I'll be in Vancouver for a couple of days during the World Cup this summer. Can you guys give any recommendation regarding where to watch the WC games (in particular Germany vs. the US)? From what I understand, the game will be at 9am Vancouver time, so I'm not sure what places will even be open during those times for the World Cup.
Assuming you mean the English FA Cup, the Final was 26 days ago and I doubt replays are still being shown.
For FCE it was mentioned in the latest new article about the new pitch being fianlly ready that sportsnet 360 hurt their TV numbers. The network is not readily available in Edmonton to many people. Moving over to the Local citytv where it is part of the regular networks in EDM that have made it much more available with numbers doubling. Wathcing the two Fury Matches on Reply, RogersTV Ottawa presented very good broadcast to Ottawa. Even the Wed friendly vs the Rangers was broadcast on RTV Ottawa. The Fury could get a boost if a Network accross in Gatinuea would provide french Broadcasts as well

Does anyone know if Rogers, Bell or Shaw provide BeIn Sports in HD? If they do I will cancel my DirecTV subscription.
Do you guys have any idea who will be showing the Bundesliga for upcoming season? FOX has the TV rights for USA and Canada.
In the past it has been GOL TV and they continue to show the Budesliga logo on their main page http://www.goltv.ca/
Ya but their website gets updated once a year lol, Actually GOLTV will be shut down permanently as of August 31, 2015 http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2015/2015-299.htm
yikes always thought it would re-brand as TFCTV....guess not. Can't wait to see the reduction in my cable bill
Ding! Guess what, we are three weeks away from Bundesliga kick off and we have no idea who is going to broadcast it in Canada? I mean officially.
Sportsnet is going to have an announcement tomorrow morning about their soccer coverage this season, some Bundesliga games have been added to their schedule on SNworld.
If your cable company is Rogers....the SNWN subscription is a very valuable and free add on to your SNW subscription!
