My apologies if this is the wrong place to post this (Big Soccer Newbie, 1st post), but thought it might be the most appropriate board (feel free to redirect). I have been told by a friend that a new restaurant/sports bar in the Baltimore area will be showing whatever PPV game is available (this Saturday's is suppose to be Newcastle v Man City) during the weekends (Sat and Sun). The restaurant is open for breakfast and according to my friend, the manager said that "as long as people are showing up, he will show the games." Even though this place is very near my home, I have not been there. Might be best to give them a call to ensure that they will in fact show games. Stampede Steakhouse and Sportsbar 8015 Ft. Smallwood Rd. Baltimore/Pasadena 410-360-2222 (If you need directions, let me know).
Welcome to the boards. It's always good to have info on potential viewing spots for DC matches. It isn't really Baltimore, but Pasadena is close enough I guess.
Basically. If you take Rt. 2, follow to Ordnance Rd exit (Glen Burnie Mall). From Ordnance, make right onto Pennington/Ft Smallwood (this will take you past the Coast Guard Station). Follow for about 4 miles, restaurant is just past 84 Lumber. Or, if you take the Baltimore Beltway, take exit 1, bear right and make left at light; follow for about 4 miles. By the way, they also have FSW and will show the Chelsea-Man U match on Saturday (I think it starts at 7:30AM, though).
