I want to start resubscribing to a bunch of soccer magazines. Any recommendations? I already have Soccer America and want to add 442 and World Soccer. The only reason I mention those two is because they were what I used to subscribe to. I am interested in US, England and World soccer in that order. Let me know if any new ones have popped up that have supplanted these. Thanks Andy
It's a NYC based soccer magazine. I have a few copies of it. It's an upstart operation. http://www.greenpitch.com/index.htm
The flat out best soccer mag in the world is When Saturday Comes. It's a monthly in England and it's snarky and funny and a great read. R
WSC is pretty much the only one that I read--and I pay a lot to subscribe outside of the UK, it's that good. World Soccer occasionally. I've tried reading Four Four Two, but I've never liked it. Too much like Maxim meets footie for my taste.
You should check out 90 Minutes (www.90soccer.com). Its a great read and it focuses on US, England and World Soccer. As well as the lifestyle around the game. I think if you go to Soccer 365 you can request a free issue.
It's 442 and When Saturday Comes for me. I dropped 90 Minutes. Their European experts don't seem to know that much not to mention all of the typos for a professional magazine. BTW, the December When Saturday Comes included a cut-out-and-stand-up football nativity scene. Quite funny featuring Juan Pablo ANGEL, Sven as Joseph, Sir Bobby Robson as a wiseman, Sepp Blatter as God Almighty and Wayne Rooney as the baby Jesus.
