This week we have Metrostars goalkeeper Tim Howard on the show to talk about his experience overseas, the Metros new look, and the upcoming National Team match. Also, we'll have Tobias Lopez from the Ft. Worth Star Telegram to talk to us about the latest developments with the Dallas Burn stadium situation. Interview and Show archives are available shortly after the live show is done.
WE ADDED ANOTHER GUEST: Brian Maisonneuve of the Columbus Crew will be on the show as well... He was the other guest I was chasing.
oh sure, get another quality guest... make your show better why don't you BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO be listening, thanks
The archive is now available on the website.... GO TO: www.soccerfanaticsradio.com and click on the link on the right that says: "CLICK HERE TO HEAR ALL OF THE LAST SHOW" ENJOY! I thought it was a GREAT show.... drop us an email and give us some feedback...
i was unable to catch the whole show... but i liked what i heard... i wish i had a better damn connection ah well, nice work... keep up the efforts
They recorded it in very high quality audio, 128/44. And in stereo. Rather than waiting for it to download and then listen to it, though, listen in "real time". Assuming you have Windows and play MP3s in WinAmp, what you do is RIGHT Click over the link. Then choose "Copy Shortcut", then launch WinAmp, press <Control+L> and paste the shortcut into the box that comes up (by pressing <Control+V> ). On DSL anyway, it comes through clean and without interruption. If you have dial up and it stop and starts you should mail the information back to Josh, it does seem that a much lower resolution mono recording would be quite suitable for a nearly all audio radio program archive. Great show though, no?
When I record the show....I record it in .wav format, in the lowest possible level.....then the file is converted into .mp3 If I record it TOO LOW of quality, then when I convert it to .mp3, it sounds like CRAP.... So I have found the lowest level to record it at where the .mp3 still sounds good.....and 110-120 MB is about as small as we can get it... Did you get all that? As I've said before, the best way to do it, is to download INTERNET EXPLORER 6, and it will PLAY the show as it downloads....and it seems to work pretty well.... I'm really not much help....as I've said before, I'm not the most computer saavy person in the world....
We've received a lot of good response from this show...the word seems to be spreading slowly but surely.... I appreciate the kind words...go forth and tell the others, and don't forget to drop us some email, that's what makes the show even better is when we get email during the show from our listeners.... I think the EMAIL FORM on the website has helped.... I'm trying to track down Francisco Marcos (Founder of the USL) this week....(keepin' my fingers crossed)
The story with that is that BEFORE we got the website, we had an MSN GROUP site that had a chat room.... and you had to have an MSN PASSPORT (or a hotmail account) to get into the chat room.... So when we got the new website, one of the new things we wanted to include is a chat room that anyone could just pop into.... Secondly, I've noticed that there really isn't a chat room where American soccer fans can congregate (at least not one that I have found), so my goal is to build the chat room on our website into a place where American soccer fans can "hang out"..... but at the VERY least, where everyone (listeners and hosts alike) CHATS during the show.... So we encourage everyone to pop into the chat room at our website during the show, granted, it's not the fanciest chat room ever constructed, but it was the best we could find to fit into our $0 budget. If it gains popularity, then we'll probably upgrade it into something a little more fancy.
