Here is a good story. The kid grew up in my home town. It will be replayed on ESPN after the superbowl. It is a drive to get soccer balls to Iraq for the kids. I don't know if this has been posted before. If so, it is worth repeating. http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3218181&categoryId=2378529
i saw it and it made me cry seriously.... i think we should start something like this....in his name though........
I hope this will be shown at halftime during the USA-Mexico match. MLS and US Soccer should further the contributions to the Iraqi children in Nick's name. Maybe the supporters groups of the MLS teams can get involved -- in fact, I'm sure they would be glad to help.
Thanks I didn't look for the links. He grew up about a mile and a half from me. Something good out of something bad.
Does anyone have contacts with RBNY FO? If so you should contact him or her to see if RBNY can start a partnership with Kick for Nick. All of us I am sure would be willing to bring soccer balls to the first or second or third game etc... to support this effort for a fallen hero! Or if you would rather not contact the FO give me your contact via PM and I will make the call.
