Wow. Good find. Just to be mentioned is impressive, although the write-up on SA, albeit accurate, was more "small fish in a near empty pond" type of compliment. Nonetheless, the fact that it's on the list is, in my opinion, another step forward for acceptance of soccer in the maintstream US society. Whetehr that's what soccer fans are striving for or not, well, that's another issue for another thread.
That's odd given how many fishing shows you see on TV, but given the Yoga-bashing tendencies of the mainstream media, it's no surprised (have you ever seen ESPN even mention the Extreme Yoga Championships? I thought not).
Highly unscientific poll. And, then there is this bit of early reader reaction: 'Have fun reading ToyFair, Sports Compact Car and Wizard. Losers.'
pretty subjective stuff, but nice all the same. hmm, time clearly over newsweek? would have to take exception to that ;-)
I found this quote to be very telling: " Its strength is the weakness of most other media's avoidance of soccer coverage" Pretty honest viewpoint from one who studies media. I guess i was right.
