So, who's our forward?

  1. I like what management has done to tweek our roster. As I see it, we have plenty of midfielders and lots of centerbacks. We're thin at outside D spots, but ok, I think. But what about forward? Oduro surprised last year, but can he repeat? I don't know. Frankly I think he is best positioned out wide to stretch the defense. Barouch is young and too slow in my opinion. Puppo looks good, but he's small. In fact,we are small all over. I'd like to see a big forward, a target who can knock down balls and drop them off to our very quick mids. chavez is gone, so are the Fire going to get another taller forward? I hope so.

I think at the moment we are looking at:
    Puppo
    Oduro
    Orr
    Nyarko

At the end of last year, we played a lot of games with Nyarko and Oduro up top.

When we were playing with 1 striker, Grazzini was basically playing like the withdrawn striker, but I wouldn't count him in this list.

We could always sign another player or 2. What's the word on that greek striker?

Not really a forward but I think we should have a look at David Bentley.

Of course, with the Greek economy the way it is, they might be paying him in spanakopita, so maybe we still have a shot. :D

I would spend all the money I had to buy Artjoms Rudņevs and sign him to a DP contract, then I would sell him for 5 times as much in 2-3 years and find another guy like him.
