For those of you with the Shootout, you've got: 4pm EDT Rapids vs. Metrostars 6pm EDT Fire vs. Revs 7:30 EDT Wizards vs. United 8:30 EDT Galaxy vs. Burn 10:00 EDT Crew vs. Quakes With the Wizards/United match being replayed later in the week on FSW, you can pretty much do the other four matches back-to-back-to-back-to-missing part of the first half. Anybody here being that ambitious, with the cognizance that "ambitous" and "sitting on the couch for eight hours" aren't exactly the same thing? Later, COZ
The SJ-Columbus game is only on HDnet. But if you've got HDTV and the Shootout package, that's a clear signal (no pun intended) that you're ready and willing to hit the couch and hit it hard.
Been doin' it for over two years, can't break the streak now. (PS I don't have HDNet but I will be AT Spartan stadium with VCRs running.)
and on that note...kickoff for the Scum - Crapids... oh...look at that...Metro is wearing the new whites for the first time...
Have Fire-Revs on, then DCU-KC. No Gals-Burn. Sorry but I can't even watch highlights from that stadium, never mind a game.
I'll miss the espn game today cause of work, but will catch the rest. Should be a nice saturday in cloudy miserable indy, provided the crew win of course.
It helps to have a sinus infection. My girlfriend is glad that I can rest by watching the MLS marathon. But I just started with a nice pre-MLS marathon match. The second leg of Coppa Italia just kicked off at 2:45 pm. My marathon will end with MLS Wrap or sleep whichever comes first.
count me in for the marathon... 55 minutes till it starts. Icing on the cake will be the galaxy game...pregame show is something i'm looking foward to, i dunno why!?... maybe more looks at the new stadium :-D thank you MLS Shootout...your are MY GOD
I'm going to try and do it tonight. The mood my kid has when she wakes up from her nap will have a lot to do with my success.
I almost never get to watch soccer live (actually, the WC was on at a perfect time for me; 2:30am is one of the few times during the "day" that I have complete control over my schedule). BUT, I've got the weekly ritual of programming two VCRs and a PVR down pat. I tend to lose a lot of sleep on Saturday and Sunday nights trying to watch all the televised matches each week. I suspect I'm not alone.
No sheepishness here, I have the SO, 2 TVs, 2VCRs in case I miss anything, Mizzou and Husker baseball in regionals webcast over the internet, a grill ready with steaks in the 'fridge', cold beer; blue skies, no wind, and 75 degrees in beautiful KC. A great way to spend a Saturday. BTW, SJ just scored to win some $ for me on the SJ/CHI "Over".
