I'd take Magee. As a backup midfielder he is good by MLS standards. Gordon is not a good forward, backup or starter, by our league's standards. There are any number of young forwards sitting the benches in MLS that are better. It's a classic mistake to judge a player by his last game and that's what many are doing with Gordon and his brace against us. There's a lot of luck involved if you look at only 1 game. If Ricketts is in goal he doesn't score the 1st one, and if AJ heads the ball 1 foot to the left he doesn't get the 2nd. So you look at his long term production. He's played in the league for years and averaged a goal every 300 minutes of play which is worse than Barrett and Barrett is also pretty poor by MLS standards. I will admit that Gordon is having a good year for Toronto and since I like the guy I hope it continues. But I wouldn't bet on it.
I hate questions like this because it's like asking, "Who'd you rather sleep with: Rosie O'Donald or Susan Boyle?" I'd rather be castrated and it's the same thing with this question! But I'd take Magee over Gordo hehe
