This thread, was supposed to be all about that, https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=606965#post606965 but it turned into a pouting match about why Canada was so outplayed in the 2002 Gold Cup, despite the US being unable to score.

Over on "I got a bad feeling..." the talk is about how unimportant this game is, and that we should expect to see a bunch of new guys. I only agree a little. I would think that a number of high stakes players would be in this game, at least to stay match fit, since none have played competitively for a couple of months. So I expect to see these starters (bold indicates pretty likely) at least:

    ---- Twellman --- Mathis -----

    -------------Donovan -----------

    ---Beasley ------------ Olsen ---

    --------------- Mastroeni ---------

    -- Suarez - Boca -- Califf --Victorine

    - - - - - - - - - - Howard - - - - - - - - -

Remember, friendlies can be sub-fests, but there is some chemistry that needs to be observed and solidified. We'll see all these guys and a whole lot of new ones, too. I don't think Bruce is going to pass up opportunities to develop the squad that is going to France this summer.

I have a feeling you might see Convey in the starting lineup. That might push DMB back to left back. Last year he played back there a couple of times and Bruce has said on several occaisons that DMB is one of the best defenders in camp.

in an article i saw this week it talked with convey and he has been playing left back in camp all week, and he said he would play in whatever position bruce thought it was best for the team and if left back was the position he would gladly play there...

so i think before you see runDMB in the back tonight you will see convey back there.
