    and whomever did...

i buy ya a drink the next time you come to columbus.

him running across the field after being ejected was rediculous. poor display of class for a guy who i thought played the game really well in the sense of class all day long...

It came from the Argentina fans. They were booing him as well.

You must have missed it, he dropped to the group at the last second after a convulsion in his knees and it landed on his face.. ;)

    I did. =p
J/K, but I saw it happen, I was like 20 rows away from where it happened.
I did push this 20 year old Argentina kid who was running in the stands when the game was over. The stadium was empting out and this 20 year old kid is running though the seats when he slips and pushs me because he was gonna fall. So I turn around and give him a nice push in the other direction. =p

well excluding the guy who did it, we have class (of course id have been drinking crown and ginger so obviously you wouldnt catch me throwin my drink) - he kinda blew his with that mess - no matter what dalassandro did to irk fans, i dont think that its an appropriate response - im sure ill get skewered for this sentiment, but it certainly would be considerd gauche if a player threw a drink at a fan... right? - boo him, curse him, sing fatally hilarious songs about the origin of his large ears, but keep your hands (and your frosty beverages) to yourself

besides wasnt it the nude corpulent man in the nike shoes?

    I agree ...

I'll probably get flamed for this, but if the score were 1:0 for the USA at the time and Donovan decided to stroll across the field while being subbed, how many would be applauding that?! Personally, I see nothing wrong with it.

You mean like when it was 3-2 agaisnt Portugal at the WC and He was subbed out for Joe-Max and he hustled..more like sprinted off the pitch?

Even if the Nats were crap...we still have quite a bit of class...that little prick deserved the shower

Our family met him and Romangnoli while we were walking around South Beach after the game. They were both very nice and gracious.

    Actually, blame the ref.

This guy was way too officious the whole match, and this incident was another example.

Check the tape,D'Allesandro went to his bench after the card and sat down. There was no reason the ref couldn't have let him stay there for injury time in a friendly.

But noooo..... he makes him walk the entire way across the pitch to the locker room.

Give him credit that he added time on for the walk.

I just love the arrogance of Big Soccer. I mean where can you find this type of sanctimony anywhere else. Give it a rest.

It gets so old having people who know nothing about players bash them with this type of classless crap. And to have someone suggest spitting on a player? That is beyond classless.

Nice to know I've become infamous. :D

For the record, I didn't do it, nor do I know who did.

It seems like it came from the Argentine section, not ours.

Pipe down, Gertrude. Apparently you haven't heard of the legendary tale of the shaggy haired right winger, the northend diva, and the bottle of gatorade that brought them together. :D

    Booo!

What a total lack of class on the guy that threw the drink on D'Alessandro. You could actually see it on TV right before they cut back to the game!!!! If we continue to see this kind of behavior from the US NAT fans (you're not going to convince me that an Argentina fan threw a drink at one of their most beloved young players) FIFA is going to ban the US Nats from our own stadiums! How could you resort to the sort of tactics that Mexicans and Costa Ricans use when we visit their stadiums? Gee whiz.......I'm really peeved :D

    Re: Booo!

Didja catch the game on tv, pal? The only US fans were situated at the far end of the stadium. The ENTIRE East/West? end was dominated by Argentinians.
