    Most likely looking ahead to Saturday. I don't think anyone on the team took this game very seriously, and it showed. I can't imagine Eriksson would be very happy about it, but SAF would probably be even more unhappy if he saw Beckham go down to some sort of injury or something.

    I don't think you have to pluralize Neville. I think we've seen the last of Phil in an England shirt.
    Scholes was probably the best of a terrible first 11. Had a goal wrongly taken away and got into some good positions but wasn't finding the target with this shots.

    the plural nevilles was force of habit....

    i do recall the scholes goal that was disallowed, but other than that....nothing.

    The biggest problem was scheduling the game at Upton Park. Of course the home team is going to lose there this year. ;)
