We've all seen this clip of Noem being the dumbest of dumb and being unable to pass a citizenship test (deport her!). But that's not what I want to focus on. I want to focus on the rest, because it really makes me angry how she handled this. Open net and she Wondo's it (sorry Chris, I do love you but...).

She chides Noem about following the Constitution and Judicial orders and when the dog killer lies, she merely answers "I'm glad to hear you will follow Judicial orders.".

My sister in Allah....you're not maga. You have two brain cells you can struggle to run together. You know she is lying. Why aren't you calling her on the BS? Why aren't you pointing out that Noem couldn't pass a citizenship test and that we should do to her what she's doing to even those who did.

Why aren't you pointing out all the times they've ignored judicial orders? Why aren't you you talking about the consequences of perjury?

Don't give her a school lesson. Talk about how much of a failure she is and if she doesn't want to put the effort into learning her job, she can leave and go back to killing dogs. You had her on the ropes and refused to land any kind of punch, much less a TKO.

This is feckless Democrats thinking they can choose the GQP into lawfulness. We are way past that. Use every second to berate and shame and point out how stupid and weird and fascist and hypocritical they are. Generate the clips. Grab society by the shirt and make them see what's happening.

But no...we have polite principal scolding and "promise not to do that again".

    Were so doomed.

Ah! Somehow I cracked my phone screen at the concert I went to while it was in my pocket. Autocorrect has been on a tear since. Clearly I meant AZ was excluded. Trump carried it by 5%. But the point still stands.

You notice I didn't put "male" in my category, yes? Because it is not about male, but about heterosexuality (and masculinity), which has effects greater or lesser of misogyny. But, as I said, I should not need to explain that...again.

The unhinged Dems are gonna HATE this

Michigan D senator Elissa Slotkin joined Republicans in a 51-44 vote to kill an EPA waiver that allowed California to impose a 2035 ban on the sale of new gasoline-powered vehicles.

    <fist pump>

A few weeks ago, 35 Dems joined R's in the House on this motion.

Some enormous trends pop out right away when looking at the latest NYT map showing counties that shifted in one direction during each of the last three elections.

    1) Dems are cooked in Ohio. Permanently.
    2) The Richmond suburbs are what has propelled Virginia into the Dem column, not NOVA.
    3) Over half of Iowa has moved to the Right in each of the last three cycles. Not a single one shifted Left. IT's over Selzer bros.
    4) Pennsylvania will be the new Ohio if Dems continue to suffer losses in Philadelphia.
    5) Nevada is arguably on the cusp of losing its swing state status, but few people seem to realize this yet.

A bright spot for Democrats is Georgia, Atlanta and it's suburbs.

    "
“Just nine counties voted more Democratic in each of the presidential elections since 2012 and shifted by a total of more than 25 percentage points.

Six of those nine counties surround Atlanta.”"

It is kinda crazy that basically nowhere else in America is getting more Democratic besides the Atlanta burbs. Didn’t realize it was that isolated/concentrated.

Presidential math looking dicey in the future. Midterms and specials may continue to be a lifeline for Dems however.

Partially true. See also - one party's full embrace of a fascist, racist, xenophobic con man as its Dear Leader. Think Phillip Roth covered this.

It's the conundrum of the past 10-15 years. Try to appeal to that punisher hat-wearing, Rogan-listening, bigoted, truck nut crowd yet somehow not abandon the Democrats' traditional base. We know what the ICs here want them to do.

Sure, but I disagree with the thesis beginning reason: Republicans have, mostly, a single demographic. The Democrats have multiple demographics. This makes the Republican message easier, and even if it is delivered in a sloppy manner, it gets across. Democrats, on the other hand, have to speak to a specific demographic and a general demographic at the same time. This makes using the "correct" language difficult. It also makes it difficult to get clips positively disseminated across social media, let alone via TV or print.

Saying that, I do agree that language needs to be simplified.

The problem with the left, in general, (including the American democratic party), is that it's forgotten the old adage that you have to give people a reason to vote for you... not just against the other guy.

I'm not really concerned about those people because they are hard to convert (not impossible, but hard and probably not in any proscribed manner). I'm more concerned about the people who don't want to live within their means and want cheap money, fast growth, and big stuff. There's a lot of debt problems at every level coming to a head sometime soon and Democrats should be getting ahead of it by telling facts about our situation and how we got here and how we can get out. I think they can be reached because it's common sense stuff and while it's hard to get over that immature gut impulse of "me want" Democrats can position themselves as the grown ups in the room.
