... No WMDs. No collaborative relationship with AL-Qaeda. State Department confirms "16 words" re: African uranium were forgeries. 2300+ dead US troops, thousands wounded. Billions of dollars spent. Rumsfeld states US-style democracy not to be expected in Iraq. Sectarian violence rampant. Basic services worse than prewar levels. Infiltration by foreign terrorists. Iraq considered now as a training ground for terrorism. Do you think the US will win? IF so, why?
Oh, I don't know. I'm only pro-war because I was on the anti-war tip, and now that scene is played out. It's like, everyone is anti-war now. Just you watch - pro-war will be the crazy fresh trend of the future.
I remember how in high school ('77-'81), I liked The Ramones & The Sex Pistols & The Clash and everyone else liked REO Speedwagon and said my music was shite & unpopular & stupid, etc, etc. The music I appreciated then is now enshrined in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame while no one except overweight 40-something divorcees admit to ever liking REO Speedwagon. Let's say that I've got a feeling about this, too.
A complete end of insurgent violence with the pacification, extermination, or arrest of the insurgents, foreign and domestic. A complete and permanent cessation of sectarian hostilities. A permanent consolidation of Iraq as a unified state with a strong central government which is satisfactory to Kurds, Shia, and Sunni Iraqis. The end of local autonomous acts (such as Kurds making oil deals w/ Scandinavian companies without consulting Baghdad). Restoration of the public services which are now worse than pre-war levels. Restoration of the oil industry. And of course, US-style democracy. Losing, of course, would be to fail to achieve all these goals... and to see Iraq splinter. Or at least remain in a longlasting state of violence.
I support the War. USA isn't leave region for 99 years. This agreement, albiet government does not fail; worked in Korea. It also worked in Germnay and it is working in Kosovo. Buddy your cable news rhetoric. It is like the out of nation support against cartoon strips. I am sure danish fellas went to Africa. Anyhow the USA hasn't wholeheartedly lost anything of importance. It wont start with a bunch of bag fillers. Whom cannot follow its country's descisions....
No. If anything, DamonEsquire gave bigsoccer's owners the idea for bots, but he's not a bot himself so far as anyone can tell.
Iraq Strategy Draws Fire I don't know if I am a BOT. This article keeps update and leads to assertions. Still know hard nose facts. How to Win in Iraq This article is a couple of months old. Pretty lengthy but education exsist from page 2. Time for a Radical Departure This article is what we hear alot around town. History still creases only with time. Radical Departure: Toward A Practical Peace in Iraq Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) seems to mind and undermind affairs in Iraq. So try not to shoot the messenger. Please! Sorry if some doesn't like it but they stake a claim in attacks. By God, it will amount to worthiness. Pretty lengthy and is found under Search: Military departure: Iraq
Damon is German, IIRC, and runs his posts through a translator. He actually has some very good points, not just in this thread but in many others.
Does supporting the removal of a fascist murderous thug who ruled unjustly by the sheer force of fear make a person pro-war in your estimate? I am not pro-war, but I believe there are worse things in life than war.
