You know, play for a tie, rest our starters, etc. Jeffries style...

bitter about last time are we? Come on Oman, I've seen you post in other sections, I know you still don't believe in us, but at least support us for the ride. Come on, lets sweep the bastards and move on the bigger fish (no pun intended)

You almost made me spit out my beer Oman.

I like to think that our gaffer learned his lesson from that one. Now if he would just occasionally game plan a speed based attack seeing as how we have Johnson and some good distributors, he would almost completely erase most of my reservations.

Then again, in a playoff game, we come out and give up a Valderrama HEADER in the second minute. It was so Burn '02, Jeffries style....

But I'll give him credit for this season. He's managed the considerable talent at his disposal well, and we've seen some good soccer. Moving Graziani, picking up Morrow, Cerritos, Countess, all turned out pretty well.

I'm not so sure that seeing O'brien sit and Vaca 'have his shot' is such a bad thing... my guess is that the Burn will do more defending and less right side attacking; therefore being easier to defend against from the Broome/Chivas side.

This may cost us a game and justify Oman's (and, prior to the O'brien miracle, me!) doubts; but it may give MJ the ammunition he needs to play O'brien 'at least' 60 minutes per game.

Hey, I support us. I'm just a handwringger.

I bleed Burn black and red, and I even cough up a wasabi green loogie when I feel nostalgic.

and after the last game, I have to say I have to praise Jeffries as well. We've come out and acted like we wanted to win a playoff game.

    The rest is kinda gravy.

As much as everyone disliked and outright hated the wasabi it may be a collector's item someday for the few that obtained any of the jerseys in which it was prominent.

I think it was a great 4th color. A nice certain shade of green. I believe it was the '96 away and the '00 away that had ties of that color on it, and I liked those jerseys, but I may be the only one...

Enter the game playing not to lose, thereby all but ensuring we'd lose the game. :(

O'brien did seem to be playing very defensively. It seemed like everything had to go through Martinez.
